Syd (nicknamed after a bluesman he used 2 watch-and NOT the drug) while taking hits himself, and even later when he wasn't-- people were ALSO slipping him acid, unbeknownst 2 him, in his morning coffees and other drinks. So, he couldn't know when he was coming or going. What chance did his sensitive soul have 2 such tricks? Really sad what some 'friends' would do 2 him. He lived in communal flats where it was best 2 get your OWN water from the tap, and never leave your drink unattended...

In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.

This is my favourite song written by Syd. It is even better than everything he wrote for Pink Floyd! So simply, but really amazing song!

"im trying to find you" maybe talking about himself...or...his old self shall we say. if it is, what a heartbreaking song it is.

Ditto that.. such a soulfull song, its just pure poetry. Ironically they never got this song completed as they wanted but to me its just fine....

Even if it's about somebody else, it still sounds pretty mournful.
