I feel very fortunate that when Brenda Lee sang her signature song, I was going to junior high school, at an age where you are easily impressed by 'today's' singers. She was a VERY impressive singer of the day, and definitely was very influential to many who followed.

Certainly Janis might have seen one of Brenda's rock and roll tours through TX or La in the late 50s-early 60s. She was a music fan, how could she not go?

Odd fact: Janis was older than Brenda.

I saw a Brenda's show in CHILE, year 1961. She is the best female rock and roll singer.

I met Brenda Lee in 1960, we talked about our favorite school subjects,I felt like I had just spent some time with a close friend.40 years and 100 million sold recordings later we met again, it was like spending time with a close friend. Brenda, thank you for always being more than just a great singer.

Brenda Lee is Legend; one of the most influential singers of the 60's! She not only has one of the most incredible voices, but is a hard-working, gracious woman who adores her fans...The young singers should take some lessons from her, and perhaps they will last half as long!
