You got to be kidding the person who taped this dont know what a storm is i guess yeah you never seen or lived it that street is clean compared to some areas i live in saint john at the time and there was trees coming down everywhere
unfair, the only time i go on a vacation in saint Louis,, this storm happened. we had no electricity, and i had to eat Chef Boradee for four days...LOLZ
West and South county IS considered St. Louis (County). Instead of Shitbitch your name should be dumb bitch. You must be of the lower class if you consider that a "rich" neighborhood. It's nice but wouldn't consider it rich. Don't get on here and make it seem as STL don't have any decent neighborhoods!
Usually the counties surrounding St. Louis see worse storms than the city, but this time it hit the city worse! I live in South city and I remember looking out and seeing the road covered in trees, and broken glass and debree in yards. Cars were flattened by limbs, I actually would have been happy to walk out and see what she did, but it took almost 4 weeks of clean up for us to recover from this storm.
yeah, it was pretty bad. I later found out that we hadn't gotten it that bad, but the street next to us lost nearly every tree. It was pretty sad. That ice storm hit St. Charles really bad, too. Any tree that didn't get it from that storm was destroyed by the ice. Go figure.
Yeah, it's St. Charles (suburbs), but most people on youtube would have an easier time if I just said St. Louis since it's so close anyway. I take that you're from St. Louis?
this bitch is silly, worst storm in stl?how bout in 93 when all the levees were breaking.i think those people were a little more pissed off about loosing their houses than you were about your brothers party, i live in va where they cant drive for shit if it snows without sticking but even these jack asses dont freek out about a broken 6 in. limb.
After going through many hurricanes in the past 2 years, I can tell you first hand that the winds never reached 100mph in your neighborhood. They may have in other parts of St. Louis, but in your neighborhood it looks like 60-70mph max. 100mph winds would have ripped shingles, knocked down mailboxes, and would have defoliated or downed many more trees. None the less, looks like a really crazy storm you went through.
Extremely unweather guy..what do you have both contacts in one eye or what? What you think you're describing is exactly what went on here. Yes, winds were clocked in North County St. Louis as 92mph. I reside next to a local meteorologist here in St. Louis and that's what he clocked at his house. So, before you give your expert analysis, make sure you have all your facts first. Hurricane Floyd 1999 and Wilma 2005 were awesome. I was in them. So there. Have a nice day!!
I agree that parts of St. Louis saw 90mph+ wind gusts, but this video clearly does not show that kind of damage. I have been through the eyewalls of Hurricane Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Rita and came close with Floyd and Gabrielle. The damage those storms caused was far worse than what I am seeing above. Roofs were ripped, chimneys collapsed, windows were smashed..it was horrible. This video still looks like the work of 60-70mph winds IMO.
