I don't see how any of you could possibly say that Boston Rob was even in the same league as Russell. Look at it this way. Have you ever gotten bored with watching Survivor when Russell was playing the game? And lastly, which I could make many, many more intriguing points to support my statement than this, but when has Boston Rob single-handedly gotten Russell knocked off of the game? Never. And he couldn't, not matter how hard he tried. Russell went to the final three after being down 6-3. Epic
@theCRIMSONtradition Rob is much better than Russell. Russell himself said that he plays such an aggressive game because that's the only way he can get to the end. Rob is very good socially, and in challenges. It's not that Russell isn't smart, but he's just not that good of a player.
Russell was great at controlling the game but he was no survivor.................he just dominated. If you want to win survivor you can't piss everyone off and back stab them and then expect them to vote in your favour when they're in the jury.

tyson got PLAYED. for some reason he thought parvarti and danielle would put russell's name down and that russell would put parvarti's name down. that would make it 5-4 against russell. he figured if he'd switch his vote to parvarti that she would go home instead of him.
This is without doubt the dumbest move in survivor history by tyson and without doubt the best move in survivor history by russell. I still believe rob is the best player in survivor history but he should of just let tyson vote for parvati and told courtney to vote for russell then none of this would of happened.

@prolg That was the best analysis I've ever read on why Russel changed the game. It never even occurred to be that Rob M took Russel's strategy completely in Redemption Island. It would of been nice if Zapatara was wise enough to work with Russel instead of being terrified by him, Mariano would have had no chance and we could have seen some much better game play.

4:10 Tyson tries to explain to Rob his rationale for wanting Parvati out. Russell didn't trick him like CBS wants you to believe. He wanted to ensure that Parvati would be gone because he thought that either danielle or Parvati would vote russell b/c they knew that they would have no chance in a revote if they didn't. Tyson just overthought it and made the blunder, he was in no way tricked by Russell

If the jury voted without holding grudges, then Russell is the clear cut winner, he is the smartest, he is just so good.
The motto in this game is outwit, outplay, and outlast.....Well If you look at it properly Russell wins in all those catergories, it's just the way he does it people don't like. If the jury voted properly, he would of won both series he was in.
This was the best move in survivor history, there is no doubt in my mind that Russell was the best player in survivor history. But he could get people do to whatever he wanted. He was so smart strategically, fancy winning a vote when the alliances stood at 3-6 not in his favor. That's something no one else has ever been able to do. His strategy was basically got him to the final trible councel, what he didn't realise was that the way he played was never going to get the votes from the jury.

First man to ever escape the split vote. Making Tyson merely change his vote to Parviti instead of asking him to betray Boston Rob's team outright (what most people would have tried) was part luck , part daring and part inspired genius.
