  • love that game

  • lololololol the dog thing at 3:33

  • I heard the gameplay was epic but confusing and the plot was amazing

  • @VvFrostyvV Gameplay takes a bit to get used to - but it's not hard. The story BECOMES amazing. It starts off really really slow though.

  • Oh Jeeeeeez, the battle system looks great! I think I'm contempt. Definitely going to grab this tmr!

  • The further along games game the more turn-based anything seems impractical and breaks my willing suspension of disbelief. In 2D (and whatever Paper Mario was) it's fine, but as soon as you get to 3D I'm like hey realism-why the h**l are they TAKING TURNS shooting each other? Which sucks as the story, music, characters, i.e. pretty much everything else about this game strikes me as awesome.

  • @alantrik either you are blind or a troll... or an idiot because we are only talking about the graphics...

  • @sickweirdo thats not the point... All I said was to not judge it based on not having ff13 level graphics... Also what other ps3 games look as good as ff13?

  • @jbriggs06 no game should and can be compared to ff13, it's just that no other game could end up sucking so bad.

  • So basically you just use that lame board all the time, and you can't just walk around like any other game?

  • This game is easy once you get the hang of it.. this developer have a very talented team..

  • This game definitely has my interest, but I am going to wait until it hits the bargain bin just a little bit more. Once it is below $20 I'll definitely get it.

  • hey guys is the japanese battle themes same as american and uk version or japanese got there owen battle theme then us/uk one?

  • I can't wait to get this. It seems like a good mix of old school and next gen rpg.

  • i bought this game today and did a battle without viewing the tutorial first, i freaked out and just kept pressing random buttons..i died.

it looks fun though, can't wait to really get into the game!

  • @solariastella Hah, yeah, it took a while to get used to- however I played the japanese demo before I'd even started the american release, so I had a good idea of what I was doing when I started :P

  • where do i save my data

  • is this game harder than ffxiii

  • i gotta wait 3 weeks until i can get this damn it (so many good games out this year)

  • As far as combat goes... i'm soo lost

  • Is this game as hard as it seems in the reviews? I like a good challenge. Gonna get it for ps3.

  • @D10078 It's not ridiculously challenging, IMO. But there is a lot of strategy involved, and you generally have to know your enemy. So there's a decent amount of difficulty. :P

  • @DestinStrider , hi there, in terms of story, and graphic, is it as good as ff13?

  • @consciouswei Square did a great job on FF13 as far as graphics. I'm not sure a lot will match it, and RoF doesn't quite do it. That's not to say the graphics are bad at all though. As far as story, I hated FF13, so I can't give you a great opinion here. RoF's story isn't bad, but it also takes a while to pick up. It really doesn't start getting better till chapter 9.

  • @DestinStrider thanks a lot for your opinion.

  • @DestinStrider Question, did you hate FFXIII more than FFXII? (I haven't finished XIII), cause I truly hated FFXII, and XIII is slightly better, but still not great as is predecessors.

  • @consciouswei There aren't many games in existence that can match FFXIII graphics... If anything don't judge it based on that.

  • @jbriggs06 Well, now its more or less games that can match graphics from Square games. Out of all the titles I've seen, all games under SE's umbrella seem to be absolutely beautiful. The only thing is, all those other 'unmatched' titles seem to have a better story, and occasionally gameplay imo

  • I was kinda disappointed to see that this game is not like Star Ocean or Tales Of where you can run around freely and attack as you please.

    Nice gunplay tho XD

  • @YuKaiCV Honestly, I prefer this. While those battle systems have their merits, I rarely have to actually think in those battles. Wheras in these, I'm constantly planning stuff.

  • @DestinStrider really? cuz I plan alot no matter what battle system I work with =/

  • @YuKaiCV Generally I can get through fights in SO 2/3/4 and All the recent tales just by mashing an attack. Wheras in this every move I need to consider position and how it will effect me.

  • No combat tutorial?

  • I didn't need one, played the japanese version.

  • Holy crap Robin from Teen Titans is in this game

  • IGN infuriates me. This looks like a good game, deserving of much more than a 7. Not only that, but who calls a soundtrack with Motoi Sakuraba "worth turning off" (direct quote from the review)? D:<

  • @EvilxobX64 Most critics just say shit because they think its funny or the want to seem cool (IE X-play or IGN). They really are only interested in mainstream titles like that piece of repeating shit, Halo. They tend to miss out on the hidden gems like this. Its a cool game, play or watch (thank you lets players) for yourself then pass judgment.

  • @EvilxobX64 Deffo. Motoi Sakuraba definitely lent some good scores to this game, though I do admit a few of the battle themes could have used a bit more work.

  • I love the way the way the world looks.

  • How the hell do I get into a damn battle? >__>

  • Walk around the map on "Back alley" hexes. :P Or walk into a dungeon, either way.

  • Yep, figured that out after 20 mins... ._.

    I kept exploring the town thinking that I was supposed to talk to someone, or if there was some alleyway in the town where I got into battles. .__.;

  • Love the look of the game.

  • hey do u need to buy ammo

  • No. Only grenades have limited ammo, so you have to buy those if you want to use them later, or find them hidden on the map.

  • some special ammo is also limited like incederary rounds or hollow point

  • the battle theme isn't as annoying as other JRPGs. ^.^
