@thebakerman1 Because these vacuums are ridiculous. The only selling point they have is that some people will think it's cool because the guy selling it has a British accent and tries to sound smart. Sadly, some people will buy this vacuum because of the British accent lol.
@sourpuss1996 The only reason we haven't seen this kind of so called *improvement* is because there was never any need to improve the vacuum cleaner to begin with. Oh sure, you can turn corners utilizing a single ball, but why is this even necessary? The original vacuum worked fine 50 years ago just like it works fine today, and without having to redesign it. I mean really, a vacuum cleaner weighs all of what, 15 lbs? Turning it is a simple task.
I've never heard a single complaint from anyone world-wide that turning their vacuum cleaner was an issue to begin with. Although it does have four wheels, it moves so freely on its own that it still turns quite easily without the aid of some sort of *steering* mechanism. Although the Dyson Ball sounds cool, I wouldn't buy one even if I had the money. And don't even get me started on this guys $300 fan . . .
@thebakerman1 nobody has ever complained about it because the the wheel was invented like, what 10'000 years ago? We got so used to it that we haven't realised. Plus if you think the 4 wheels is good enough, why don't you buy a mouse with wheels?
@thebakerman1 No duh you havn't heard a complaint. He even admitted people put up with it because it's been that way for so god damn long. It's 2011 and it is time for a change or an improvement, doesn't matter how small the improvement is. And as for the fan, you can't tell me that shit isn't cool.
On your channel you talk all this shit about "loving God" and doing God's work, and these references to God and love and shit. Then take a look at your posts here and it say's just the opposite about who you really are.
This will revolutionize the world, just like Dyson's Ballbarrow did in the 1970s. I predict that in five year's time the traditional vacuum cleaner and its wheeled bretheren will have gone the way of the wheelbarrow, left behind in the wake of Sir James's tireless (geddit!) innovation.
I bought a dyson ball 14 mouths ago and is the 7th dyson I've had, it's the best one so far but it was also the most expensive. Only thing I wish is that someone would put a row of super bright L.E.D's on the brushbar so that I can see where I'm going when it's dark. Old hoovers used to have lights but the fragile light bulbs used to break but these days you can get L.E.D's which don't break so easily.
I suggested putting LEDs on them to save turning on the light in everyroom. Also it may help to spot things that you don't want to go up the dyson like jewellery, coins, dog poo etc.
why dosent anyone just fit bloody castors to the back of the vacuum? it would steer fine and wouldent have a big clunky ball that cant get under furniture
MOST ANOYINEST ADVERT EVER!!! "obvious design floor?!" anyone who buys one is an idiot!!seriously what is the point? ive never heard anyone complain about it! Why change something that isnt broken? "And its a wonder we've all put up with it?!"
@vintagehoover well, not disagreeing with you here but brooms do perform a different task to vacuum cleaners, I would guess that most people would still use a broom on an ouside patio, stone or wooden floor, which is what they mostly had back in the days when before vacuums.
Why the *heck* has this inventor man decided that after showing us the evolution of the vacuum, choose only to show women vacuuming, and most of all, why, in the last scene, is the vacuum operator wearing HEELS?
Personally, I wear flip flops to vacuum. What do you wear?
I think it is because it is mostly women who hoover & vacuum and I have also seen adverts for Vax where it is a female hoovering and she is wearing heels. (at least i think i have)
Seriously, I think Dyson;s catch phrase is probably the best thing I've ever heard: "I just think things should work properly." Dude's my hero. If everyone in the world thought like that, it would be a truly amazing place to live.
lol he is my hero aswell ! i wrote a mini french biography on him for my french homework. he is absoulutley inspiring to me. cause nothing he made did not follow the pupose of it. like the dyson airblade it is the only hygenic hand dryer, and it actually dries you hand, were others just warms them. and vacumes, you are supposed to handel them corectly and it should cover the floor. he thought of it ! it is amazing !
What a smarmy creep he is! Peter Perfect from Whacky Races? I spose you will remove this, the same as you have removed the other comments! Do you ever receive positive comments? dysonteam? what a herd of sycophantic jobsworths! I hope you have viewed the vids on here that test your scurrilous products for how they really work, or rather how they don't! Charlatans!

Good idea but there's only 10% suction, and 5% suction without the powerhead turning.
