i had error 6 before, when you make the custom firmware, but your iphone into dfu mode, then press shift and click restore at the same time, and it should restore it, it usually takes like 20 minutes to fully restore!!!

people who are havin problems with dfu mode:

do the things ty said but after pwning itunes with winpwn, upgrade your ipod/iphone to 2.0 then you will be able to enter dfu mode successfully

if you try dfu mode on 1.1.4, itunes will kick your ipod out of dfu mode and into restore mode (silly itunes 7.7)

did everything with 1.1.2 touch but it was taking way too long to download the 2.0 restore so i just went to limewire and got one and it worked. when i did the dfu mode i had the connect to itunes thing but i went on and it worked. cydia is ok. they just have to make everything for the 2.0 version. good vid it works
