The first book is just a talking about Edward and how perfect he is (even his driving skills) then the plot (if you want to call it a plot) come in about 40 pages before the book ends. The other 3 are just a bad.

don't bother reading it. i read about five chapters then stopped. it supports necrophelia, pedophelia, shell like characters, abandoning your hopes/dreams/ambitions/family/friends for an abusive boyfriend, teenage marraige and teenage pregnancy.
not to mention, absolutely nothing in way of logic actually makes sense. great example: when you're a vampire, all bodily fluids are supposed to stop. ALL bodily fluids. and yet... Bella becomes pregnant. >.>...
well a book having everyday problems such as abuse, teenage marriage, pregnancy, necrophilia, and pedophelia wouldn't be things to deter me from reading a certain book. Those would, in all actuality encourage me to read a book of that nature, but that's just because I'm a little fucked up in the head. But Twilight is so horribly written and the characters are indeed shell-like and cliched that I wouldn't dream of reading it in the first place.
oh no, the problems themselves are enough to make it an enticing book... if they were considered to be PROBLEMS in this world. they're romanticized and thought of as "cute" or "charming". if they're used for dramatic tension or real life drama, then yes, they're good for the story. but they're idolized and basically telling little girls that your boyfriend stalking you is a good thing.

Darren Shan is a great Author. They are making a Cirque Du Freak movie. Its still Post-production and since there are 12 books they are making it a 3 books per movie thing. It ought to be interesting to see how fans of the books feel about the making of this film. They are going to have to leabe out A LOT of things from the books.
