  • no more gurus...just me...here....now....knowing the Ineffable....the Ineffable knowing me....and the rest is silence

  • i cant express in words,simply brilliant

  • What I deeply feel about this performance is that nothing better than the sarangi can express pain and suffering -like the santour may possibly delivers the strongest feeling of innocent joy and rebirth of nature . Not to say that these instruments can't express something else but... All that is obviously a subjective appreciation though

  • Words utterly fail me. Thank you for this great clip of the Panditji.

  • This was the first sarangi music I ever heard and my jaw was on the floor for a while...I couldn't believe one instrument was making that kind of sound.

  • i am follower of the same religion

  • in my opinion, and i dont mean to offend but to only share my view..

in my opinion...music is the real religion of the world. it is a universal language and universal expression, yet so unique for the peoples of the world, but we are all united by our passion for music, and that is why i feel it is the real religion, because it touches everyone in the world.

Religion is a way to be one with god, to understand god. With music, you can use it sing god's praises. For example, in the Sikh religion, the holy book (guru) is Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. It contains the teachings six out of the ten guru's of the sikh religion. On the heading of each text (shabad) is a raag and it is meant to be sung in that raag.

    This video is very good!

Comparing music to religion is a bad use of words as religions are bad.

  • haunting

  • An amazing performance.

  • no words to describe .superb !

  • Awesome performance.

  • I attended his concerts long ago.

    After a split-second, I pushed 10,000*************

50 years ago I heard this sound

    for the first time

and it still makes me crying !

He expresses what Our God is.

If you go to see my pages,

read only the introduction / profile.

because inside it , . . that's another kind of music.

  • I am a proud owner of his cd's and this video on my youtube favorites....

  • Amazing smoothness of gaaj-kari ( bow work ) and sur-kari ( rendition of notes ). Respects to the Grand Master on Sarangi.
