@weaponeer sorry about that lol i meant a closer view of the sight, late at night and such doesnt do well with the brain haha and also can you tell me if the receivers are stamped or milled? and do you know of DSArms version if its stamped or milled also? thanks in advance
@Fatalshot24 - I'll try to get a video scheduled for the site with better closup views. FAL receivers are all milled (and the FAL is one heavy rifle) DSARMS makes the best receivers and accessories.
the SLRs are rather expensive here in Australia lol i dont know what the army did with them once they went on to the F88 but it seems that SLRs are hard to find
@maniaque007 - it has had some cold bluing over the years, and 29 years ago I refinished the stock, but it's been a great rifle, and it's a shooter and not a safe queen. It was a good $150 investment
@weaponeer then it was a gud investment......i prefer old rifles for their build quality to new modern show off rifles with all their accessories. i'm a "no nonsense-only business" rifle kinda guy...thx for sharing.....could u pls do a separate vid on that rifle, thx again
@maniaque007 - I really enjoy being able to tie the history of one rifle to another, so you get to see the features and how the stayed the same and/or changed over time. I'll be doing a review of the FN49 in the future. I have a number of early military rifles (FN49, K31, all the main Enfield rifles, 9130's, M44's, and on and on.) so I have a LOT of rifles to cover yet and even some LMG models, and a couple belt feds. look forward to a lot of high speed video this summer.
@hioncheesenips - I have had a number of accessories mounted to the rail including a BUIS because my rifle lacks a rear sight, plus sling attachment points, Bipods, and for the hell of it, a 37mm Launcher. The Index Clips and hand stop are new additions.
That is a very good looking rifle. The scope is very nice as well. It seems to me you would gain no benefits from cutting the barrel down. As you said it's purpose built and it works lol. Actually both rifles shown were very nice. Really like the stock on the first rifle.
i dont understand why the british army didnt take this weapon out of storage for a DMR instead of buying an entirely new system

@weaponeer I agree the L1A1 is a heavy rifle, but it so well balanced that you hardly notice. Plus they are sweet to shoot.

I'm gonna disagree and say the l1a1 is a marginally better rifle than the m14, haha
Good vid btw

My LIAI is pretty tricked out also except for the stock. Us inch guys really need a fully adjustable INCH stock brought top market from Magpul

Why do you have an RIS? Just to put on a hand stop?

If you wanted a vehicle carried back up to your AR10/M14 I would use one of these.
