gp2x - Commodore Amiga emulation via uae4all v0.5.1

We have some serious loss of frames here ! I had played both games on my Amiga and their common feature was smooth scrolling and animation which there isn't here. It gives me the feeling that the speed on both games is reduced to half. I wonder if that is caused due to low quality video or just because the CPU of GP2X is just too little for Amiga emulation.

The clue to master Turrican is to get a weapon with more spread bullets. You can't run around with the starting one shot bullet or you'll have to stop and use the laser a lot.

But yeah, thanks for these GP2X videos. I really want one for my own, but I do feel it might be a little bit underpowered still. I'm waiting for the next version.

uae4all v0.6.2 is so much better / faster. If someone can post a video response that'd be awesome.

it seems tough to play jostick ANd keyboard with this emulator (in turrican you need to press spacebar to use extra weapon)

heh. tell him he shouldn't allow the Atari ST emulator on the GP2X to run faster and better than the Amiga emulator! Defender of the Crown should ONLY be ran on the Amiga. :-)

It's no supprise that the ST emulator is a lot faster. The Atari had no custom hardware like the Amiga (Blitter, Copper, Paula). The Amiga is FAR superior to the ST. It takes twice the CPU power to emulate an Amiga (roughly). I Have both machines... If you took away the major part of the Amiga chipset, then you have an Atari ST!

Okay, I'm kinda jealous the Atari ST emulator funs faster on the gp2x! ...and the GEM desktop is tons snappier. Oh well, I can't wait for the next UAE port to get a speed boost. Here's the Atari ST running on the GP2X:
