can someone tell me why he would go lichbane instead of gunblade in that game gunblade would have gave twice the sustain for a slight reduction bearly nothing in burst I never feel like I do enough damage when I get lichbane over gunblade after rylias

@mahmoudlez lichbane is amazing, core item for akali.. The passive trigger (sheen) makes it far superior than gunblade..

@BurningAftermath iv been told that lichbane is superior for a while but i never felt it when i played using both so i actually did the math today took me about an hour and i broke down the damage of every ability on akali with gunblade lichbane and deathcap and if you use the same combo with all items (Q+R+AA+CS+AA over and over) all start off with 170 ap/ad plus the items states and the enemy has zero armor/MR lichbane does 2628, gunblade does 2783 with active plus 900 heal, deathcap does 2616

Liche bane + Rylais offers WAY more functionality than rushing a gunblade. You get extra movement speed, which is crucial on an assassin, extra MR, dat passive on lich bane, a huge chunk of extra health, and whatnot.

I dont care if the other does more damage, if i can nearly one shot the enemy carry with just a rylais at level 6, what else can you really ask for?

@SillyHatsable i get rylais no matter what anyways im just saying that the combintion of gunblade and rylais is better than the combination of rylais and lichbane, gunblade does more damage and the fact is that akali has one of the highest base speeds in the game already shes gunna caught everyone and that 30 mr is practically useless when you compare it to the fact that she gains over 900 hp EVERYTIME she combos and she can combo 3 times or more if she get a kill thats 2700 extra hp, 30 mr lol

@BurningAftermath comment part 2. you could say you could autoattack after shadow dance with lichbane to get alot more damage and then q however gunblade active has 50 percent slow for 3 sec you can aa if you want and gunblade will still have more damage and heal more for 200 extra gold however lichbane is better than deathcap but gunblade really shows its use with akali and thats why westrice one of the best akali player in the world built gunblade even before rylias at gamescom a week ago

Great commentary guys, I was hoping both of you will get to cast those Dreamhack games but haven't in my wildest dreams imagined you'll do that together. :D Either way I sure hope you'll get around to casting the TSM vs Team XAN game from group B, I really wanted to see that but without sound/anyone casting it in the VOD it's really not that fun.
