This FingersVSPick talk is so godamn lame. No one who argues that fingers are better never even play bassguitar. Because sometimes pick is better and sometimes fingers are better it depends on the song. I personally, in recording and sounding wise think a pick sound better in metallica songs. Because the songs only needs a solid bassline that keep the rythm going. Its not the Chili peppers you know!

Lars and James wrote the songs and kirk wrote the solos but James and Lars sayed to everybody how they will play.

That was one of many reason that Jason left the band he dident feel so involved with things in the band.

But yeah he is awsome! But i think Enter Sandman and all of the most famous songs would sound the same without Jason. We all miss Cliff and Jason!

I am a die-hard, long-time fan who thinks the first 3 albums should be immortalized and sent into space for the aliens in the event they want to listen to our best cultural music, but while many so-called fans call the "Jason" albums "sell-outs," they have some fantastic tracks, including but not limited to "Outlaw Torn" (possibly my favorite song ever), "Wasting My Hate," and "Devlil's Dance."

Jason stepped up admirably and should always be recognized as an icon.

Let's concede the fact that if Cliff had lived (RIP), Metallica would be widely considered the best band in the history of music.  Cliff was a fucking harmonic genius. Jason stepped into a no-win situation and lasted for almost 15 years, producing some great music along the way, including some incredible tracks from Load and Reload.

@ThatDisturbedguy13 I remember when I was in New York for the Big Four show, and I went to the Anthrax free show, during the clinic before hand where they had a jam with Kerry King, Phil Anselmo, Frank Bello, Scott Ian, Dave Ellefson, Mike Pornoy, and Charlie Benante. Let me just say that Fucking Hostile sounded fucking incredible with two bassists and two drummers, it felt like the music was beating the fuck out of you. Totally awesome.
