Media isnt dead in the US, its just state run. By state run I mean it is bought and paid for by corporate interests. They make more money in being paid to not report certain stories then they do for reporting the one's they do report on.

The reason why Russia has such military warehouses is because they actually produce their own weaponry, not import them off their colonial ruler like Western European nations do.

in fact it's a facility for destroying decomissioned munitions. so, i don't think some got stolen. the authorities say it's human error that led to the fire followed by shells detonation.

Wasn't there a similar incident a few years ago in Russia or a former soviet republics? I believe that one happened in a remote area though and luckily, if not miraculosly, no one was hurt.

I have witnessed two of such "fireworks". First when I was 4, I still remember sound of flying by shells and how all adults around me were scared. Second one when I was at university, but then it was rather fun to watch.
