The prayer of this interfaith gathering was to demonstrate the need for comprehensive healthcare reform that provides medical coverage for every American citizen. It is also obvious that those who are against healthcare reform will stoop to any level to stop what Dr. Martin Luther King called, one of the greatest forms of inequality.
I honestly, truly, sincerely hope -- no, PRAY -- that this pastor successfully sues the persons who have so defamed her by distorting this prayer service.
These people are praying Christians and they are obviously saying "Deliver us, Oh God." You're distorting the words of people in prayer to the Lord! Matt 5:11
They are almost ALL fat! Not having health does not mean you do not have health care! You cannot be a fat load and be healthy. You cannot run around gratifying all of your appetites and expect to be healthy; its not a social or religious matter, its a personal one.
