People get harassed at school and lose jobs all the time over friends and family posting pictures and comments of party nights etc all the time. The mother is posting stuff that has no business outside of the home and family. Also, she's 18, you can't force her to do anything and cant really "ground" her, the most you can do is tell her to get her own place if she cant respect what you ask her not to do in your house.

No, the mother was wrong, "family issues" are meant to be between the family. regardless the daughter should have been more respective to the household, but this kind of thing is meant to be talked about between the parents and their daughter, not the whole world and all of your social networking buddies. If she had sent a picture text to someone of her in her undies would the mom have posted that too? social networking sites are dangerous, and even something simple as this could be causing harm
