@IntenseSNEZZLIN Technically its a Debuff, because its icon has a red border and it is listed separate from your everyday raid buffs, but it is as you say, a good thing, so no one should be surprised if a raid member calls it a buff.

@Hosislo As a melee all you need to do is dps, and if TWO people inside melee get a spore, ONE of you will have to run out to the ranged dps and let them stack on you, so the spore explodes on them and they get the debuff. after your spore has exploded on them, you may run back into melee and continue dpsing

@waagemensch yeah but i can understand where the raid leaders are coming from. I think people should be doing the appropriate research on boss fights even before the fight happens itself. Me for an example, i just started my 10 man progression last night. got to saurfang and only 2 wipes from the other characters. Not bad for us not knowing what we were doing. Im already prepping for the next 3 bosses after saurfang for saturday. It would help to make it mandatory to do the appropriate research.

@10packerd i actually prefere it if the first few tries we are not quite sure what we are doing, in my guild, when a new raid comes out, we learn together, we wipe together and eventually we progress together, brings the guild closer and after the boss is downed all we can do is look back and laugh :)

@jordaniansparkes i can understand where you are coming from. Tonight we had our first 25 man ICC progression. I just ended up more pissed off than anything. We didnt even down the first boss. I died 3 times before Marrowgar. Anyways i do think the succeed/fail as a team method is great, but i think it only goes so far as to the brains the raiders are using in the run. Obviously tonight.... a majority of the dps weren't breaking out the bone spires. so IDK what to do. Im just frustrated.

Can anyone explain the spores a little better? My understanding is two random members get the spores, and one of them needs to move to the tank. If one ranged and one melee get it, then all is good? If two ranged get it, one needs to move to the tank? If two melee get it, one needs to move out? Please correct me if this is wrong, thanks!

The spores pops on 2 random members, the spores makes a debuff when they explode, the debuff will give you 25% shadow resistant (if iam right)

There will come 3 spores before Festergut use an ability named "Inhale Blight" which will do heavy shadow dmg, to avoid dying, everybody should be close to the spore when they're exploding.

Also, to make it abit more annoying, he is using "Vile Gas" which will wipe you if you hug (3 people around Fester is needed for 10man)

The Vile Gas will make the person walk around taking dmg, this ability will spread to everybody in 8 yards of the target, so spread out.

It's all about getting 1 spore out to the ranged and one spore into the melee's

I find tankspot's videos to be very evasive and vague at times. 'The tank needs to rotate his or her cooldowns to survive'. What the hell is that supposed to mean? What cooldowns? Isnt that what tanks normally do whilst tanking? Sorry but a lot of the word mincing in these videos makes the meaning very vague, hence not being very helpful to many of the audience.

Warriors have Shield Wall, among others, Druids have Survival Instincts among others, Paladins have Divine Protection among others, not to mention any trinket cooldowns such as from Ick's Thumb. It's not being evasive, it's assuming that the tanks know what cooldowns their class would use in order to survive the increased damage.

A normal tank is poppin' his CD's when he / she feels that alot of damage will come in, or the healers is gettin' stress'd.

A survival CD should be used, lowest CD first, highest Cd last, to have the lower CD timer back when highest is used. That's a rotation :>
