You can't boot XP in 4 seconds with any regular hard drive, impossible.

You must consider that the time frame when you start the other pc and you have to click certien buttins and the black before the main logo

Try doing the same test with both machines only XP installed, and not one with antivirus and the other one not. That's lame.

i installed a custom version of windows XP my friend made. he took out alot of junk you dont need. the Os is about the size of ubuntu probably smaller but its for games and comes with sp2 idk how he got it that small but its sweet

There are videos here of EeePC's booting in 10s, look around. EeePC's are so cool. I'm sitting here watching all the vids I can find deciding on whether I should get one now or wait until the Atom one comes out. It's not looking good for the patient person inside me!

i kno my computer is just a decent computer though pentium4 not even a gb of ram integrated video card. my computers junk but i put the gamer xp on it and its really fast now my friend the one who made it his computer boots in like 6 seconds from when he pushes the power button. imagine how fast the eepcs would boot with it on there :D

My EEE boots much quicker into Windows. The Windows loading screen lasts for only 1-2 seconds.
