I love how when she started singing the rewritten chorus for the solo version she looks around as she is interuptted. It made me smile and then the wave at the end did too. Also, at the end, when she's in the lift can almost see her thinking 'OK, get me out of this lift now.'

Idina Menzel doesn't have asthma. During her Broadway run she had vocal problems, though. This is basically what she sounded like her entire Broadway run, give or take a few earlier performances. Many other Elphabas have proven themselves superior in vocal talent and technique, as well as stability and consistency. Idina's acting is good, but there have been better. She deserves redit for originating the role in San Francisco/Broadway/London, but that doesn't mean she was the best Elphaba ever.

I think everyone says that other Elphabas are better than Idina because Idina's voice is so much different than other people who have played this role. Most of them have deeper sounding voices, Idina's is higher but it's awesome and unique

I figured out why it sounds rushed, It is because they do not have kirsten there as Glinda so they had to cut out there part but they also gave Idina a very long-winded part with no break... I thought it was very risky, also i thought the part when the guards broke in i was doing something else, and i thought she actually lost her breath... It is a bit of a quicker tempo than the soundtrack... oh well

Idina did an amazing job in Wicked, as in rent. This is a VERY difficult song to perform, but she was able to pull it off beautifully two times a day over and over again. An amazing performer.
