  • Fix your upload next time

  • well this is a very inaccruate test. 3 diff technologies on 3 diff phones. lol. besides all 4g is not even CLOSE to being "true". fuck my 3g is as fast as your verizon "4g". 22mgps!!! are you joking! its supposed to be 1Gbps when stationary, and at least a 100mgps when not. and sadly those speeds wont be here untill late 2013 or 2014 which is ridiculous because were being told that our droids razrs are running 4g and its just not true. its a upgraded 3g at best.

  • Metro pcs ftw

  • Do a Netflix test

  • T mobile tells u n their commercial that speeds are slowed after 100 megs ... f@#k t mobile

  • s2 and note is better

  • lol, i live in the middle of fuckall in canada...i get 9.89 down and 4.32 upload on Hspa...can't wait for my lte in april.

  • I wish i had verizon :( stuck with sprint!

  • Central fl

  • I have the samsung epic on sprint on 3g 2-4 4g 12-16

  • Don't know what was faster, Verizons LTE or Sangwook Chang changing his phone number!

  • well speed varies on.were u live over here in san juan puerto rico i had sprint an evo and even wit full bars of 4G i never ever got more than 4 mbps i gave up on them switched to at&t got an Lg Nitro and to my surprise at&t turnd on LTE over i.have gotten speeds up to 40 mbps on lte. even wen my phone drops down to atts 3g hspa+ its still faster than sprints 4G i get 8-10 mbps on atts 3G somethin i.nvr got.on sprint.

  • for a good time call sungwook chang mobil number 714-262-2426 he lives in anaheim ca.

  • I beat all these download speeds on T-mobile with a Galaxy S2 in NY.

  • @mashamatt Can you do a video on that and also test in long island thx

  • hell, 42mbps up? DOWANT

  • lol Does Sungwook Cheng still have the same number? or did he have to change it after this?

  • the epic is an epic failure

  • 6mo. ago in wash.dc. my friend had the Evo from Sprint. and my other friend had the DROIDX they tried youtube 3 times and the DROIDX came on top all the time. 2 yrs ago while in vacation in Williamsburg,va. My wife with the T-Mobile g2 did not have signal at all she was using my Verizon droid R2D2. I THINK VERIZON IS BETTER.

  • lets put it this way: i still run my xbox live off of my motorla droid which is 2-3 years old every day.

  • Sungwook Chang rocks!

  • That's what sprint called 4g? My iPhone 4 on AT&T double sprint fake 4g speed. Lol.

  • try a 42mbps phne like galaxy 2 or amaze they just as fast if not fatster than lte

  • Got 11.5 on g2x

  • If you look closley at the Epic 4G it doesn't even have full signal has one bar!! Make sure you get full signal dumb ass I get 13.28 down off Sprint -___-

  • My metro pcs gets 4mb download and 10mb upload

  • hey,i am franklin

  • this is unfair... the g2 isnt on tmobile's full hspa+ network..

  • @MrArnboy91 Sprint also announced they will do away with unlimited plans for 4g. Its a business model that simply can no longer be supported especially now they can offer the iphone

  • phone number 7142622426 LOLOL

  • lol you should not have used an epic you should have used an evo because an evo has been known to do alot better on speed test and everyday usage.

  • @MrArnboy91 Are you an idiot? Verizon has more coverage than Sprint? Do you realize that Sprint piggybacks off of Verizon network and Verizon does the same to Sprint? The only thing Sprint doesn't roam on is Verizon's 4G because Sprint's devices has no LTE radio's. Not only that, Sprint has free roaming, Verizon doesn't.

  • @MrArnboy91 yeah... but its still not unlimited...

  • @MrArnboy91 not for long... it will become lte by 2013...

  • Comment removed

  • Verizon should make a phone that you can turn your 4G OFF! Thank God I got sprint...

  • @rocker78able they do...go to settings and choose CDMA only... sprint is garbage..

  • @Granddaddyos at least sprint is unlimited... unlike verizon...

  • @rocker78able you can turn the 4g off with a simple free widget from the marketplace...

  • @rocker78able they have 4g phones with that feature

  • HOW ABOUT YOU DO THE TEST NOW USING A UP-TO-DATE HTC PHONE FROM EACH CARRIER OR AT LEAST THE SIMILAR LOOKING PHONES LIKE THE HTC INSPIRE VS THE HTC EVO 4G VS THE HTC THUNDERBOLT! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT COMPARISON

  • I agree with mudlbum ur using 3 different phones on 3 different technologies even though Verizon is pretty much the best its not fair:P

  • I would use a 4G WiiMax. Yes I know 4G LTE is faster, But people who have 4G LTE phones use have a use of only 2 hours on web browsing. While on 4G WiiMax theres 5 Hours.

  • 1 of then is Samsung n the rest r HTC

  • You have to use the same device for the test.

this is not a fare test.

  • thats bullshit cause i get 10 on my evo idk what the fuck u talkn bout clearly what talkin bout is range idiot ur not a geek a wanna be

  • hey someone should call that number lol

    (714)262-2426 names sungwook chang lmao!

  • Comment removed

  • AT&T + iPhone + NYC = IwannaMurderTheFuckers

  • LOL AT&T sucks

  • you know that since your thunderbolts upload speed is testing way wrong that theres a big chance the download speed is wrong too

and so much for being 4G, my iphone 4 3G speeds often tests at equal or higher speeds than the G2 and the Epic

  • I get between 8-11 MB down and 5-7 MB up on my T-Mobile MyTouch 4G here in Roswell, GA. Even on my roommates MyTouch 3G Slide, He gets on average 4-5 MB down and 1-2 MB up. It ALWAYS depends on your location. So results very drastically.

  • @rccarlov3r verizons 4g is a step to true 4g. they said the will release 4g lte-A in 2013-2014. it will be above 100mbps:-)

  • Im getting around 10 mbps down and 5 mbps up on one bar verizon lte on bionic. On a full bar 4glte I get 27 mbs down and around 15 mbps up. Tmobile needs to stop calling their hspa+ 4g.

  • @hgallegos915 i also have the bionic and get similar results but "4g" is defines as 100 mbs down so no provider should call it 4g

if u dont belive me look it up

  • @RCcarL0V3R hey, its the peak data rates,, for eg: lte channel bandwidth varies from 1.4mhz to 20mhz, and the peak 100mbs can be seen only when you are in the 20mhz bandwith

  • @aravindsn ya i guess i just cant wait till 2013 when the "promise" to have 4g lte everywhere there is 3g but judging by all the cities they add every month it will happen

  • wat da difrins 4GLTE n 4G also Metro pcs 4g vs atnt verizon n sprint 4 g

  • @goodson305 different technology

  • I usually get anywhere from 19mbs to 25mbs download on my Bionic over 4gLTE

  • ha too bad it is correct data.

  • The Epic 4G is not even on in this video, if there were 4g connectivity you would see the yellow indicator bars...

  • @Realmatic00 If you look closely you can see that it has 1 bar, that sometimes disappears, so it is connected to 4G, but yeah, only barely, still beats out HSPA+, but I suppose we'll have to search more if we want an apples to apples comparison between Sprint and Verizon 4G

  • honestly i don't care if Verizon is faster but i do like sprint because there is unlimited data on mobile hot-spots.

  • I'm pretty sure it all matters on location...

  • I am using Sprint's new Motorola Photon 4G and I got 9Mbps just yesterday over WiMax. Something tells me this is less about the technology and more about the density of cell towers and the number of users flooding each tower. The service who has more 4G towers and more bandwidth at the connections from the tower to the wire will have the better performance, not necessarily a provider with a specific technology.

  • After 10 runs my hspa+ mytouch 4G had 5.22 mb/s average sooooo... Your closer to a verizon tower probably? I'm assuming?

  • WiMax is affected by distance like DSL. All networks are affected by congestion. Even Sprint themselves are going LTE as WiMax has been a bust

  • 4g Lte sucks balls........... If ur on metro pcs

  • Sprint 4g isn't on in this video. The 4g light up yellow when its on. Besides there are alot of factors that go into speed test. Results not very accurate.

  • I wonder if Sprint should have been represented by the Evo which is superior to the Epic and analogous to the Thunderbolt... Maybe Sprint WiMax would have tested more competitively if tested with the Evo???

  • pause 2:04 prank call time

  • @snipingslayer90 lol sungwook chang

  • You should blur out that phone number of the person call u

  • Also, I forgot to add, very high network speeds don't matter really when you have a 2-5GB monthly cap. You stream like 1-2 HD movies and BAM, you're over your cap.

  • Sprint is unlimted data, that is why is slower, but if they capped it to 5 or 10gb plans it would be as fast as lte.

  • @ashesnmisery Sprint is slower because its not LTE not because they have unlimted data plans. before july 7th Verizon had unlimted data and LTE was still faster for this fact alone sprint is switching to lte and lte advanced.

  • wow my 3G fone gets better results than the G2 rofl

  • @Malique8798

What phone on what network? In T-Mo's case, as well as At&t's, HSPA+ increases the speed on all 3G phones. The phones have a speed cap that is usually higher than most networks can push out. For example, the myTouch 3G is a 3G phone that has a data cap of 7.2Mbps; but T-Mo's 3G network doesn't reach that. After upgrading to HSPA+ (4G), the myTouch 3G is be able to reach that speed. The same goes for the Moto Defy, the G1, and even the iPhone 4 on At&t once they update to HSPA+.

  • @skymitch89 i got the MyTouch 3G Slide and i did the speedtest twice that day and the results for the 1st test i got 3.15 down, 2.09 up and the 2nd was : 2.98 down and 2.11 up

  • Ver ver verIZOOOOON!!!!!!

  • 4g lte rocks!!!!

  • I love Verizon to death but why doesn't LTE have an unlimited plan? Doesn't make much sense to me...

  • @BoeckmanOSU Most of the big companies got rid of the unlimited plans because there was too much load on the network and it was impossible to serve everyone equally without a cap...

  • Its not incorrect data its really that fast on upload I know I even have the lastest version of the speedtest app as your using the old version of speedtest so speak only for yourself because the t-bolt is really as fast as speedtest says it is.

  • I love how Verizon waited for all the rest of the wireless networks to come out with their version of what they called 4G and then as soon as Verizon hit the market with LTE Verizons speeds blew away EVERYONE ELSE'S and this is why ALL the other networks are going to be going with LTE. Epic Fail to Sprint /AT&T and T-Mobile because Verizon had the real first true 4G network.

  • @pyro74boy i love verizon and have verizon, dont get your feelings hurt but look up the definition of 4G. Even though verizon blows the competition away it is still not true 4G. Just saying.......

  • @dusfermc is that so? just ask the cell phone junkie what network has true 4g Speeds at this point of the data speed game and he will tell you Verizon LTE. You also might want to understand that the true speeds of LTE on Verizon are faster then the claimed advertised data speeds why do you think that both At&t and Sprint are going with LTE? its because its faster and this is before LTE advanced has even hit the US market My feelings are not hurt are yours.

  • @pyro74boy 4g would equal these speeds. Peak data rates of up to approximately 100 Mbit/s for high mobility such as mobile access and up to approximately 1 Gbit/s for low mobility such as nomadic/local wireless access.

  • @dusfermc Like I said before just ask TCPJ aka the cell phone junkie who really has true 4G speeds and he will tell you Verizon LTE. The speeds I have been getting are faster then my home broadband speeds no joke. TCPJ said before the he used LTE that no US network would have true 4G speeds Until lte advanced comes out in 2014 and then after he was able to use LTE he then said that Verizons speeds where true 4G and the second faster network was Sprints wimax.

  • Verizon is the best.. all it matters is to have 4 g in the place you are. Who cares to watch for interruptions.. or strenghts.... 4 glt is in verizon!

  • Obviously any test u ever do on any phone will never be valid to the public because they will always like there fav network. Plus there are to many variables with cell phones, ex: signal strength, interference, network traffic, your phones hardware, etc so what's the point of a test. What works best for u works best for u.

  • AT&T sucks. Their 4G is FAKE and is just masked 3G

  • @coffeeandsugar20 Technically all three network's 4G is "fake".

Also, you can't do a side by side test on all three networks and get effective results because it really all depends on your location. For example, my G2 gets 10-12 mbps in some areas with a full signal and in other areas with a full signal it can be like 3-4mpbs.

  • @nsupra20 I know all 4G networks aren't "true" 4G. But the least Verizon could do is add a technology to their network that makes it super fast and call it 4G. AT&T just puts a post-it note over their 3G logo on their 4G phones, puts two 3G technologies together and calls it 4G. And network speed depends on tower capacity.

  • You test is flawed; the Sprint phone has two separate cellular radios; one 3G CDMA2000 1x radio for calls and SMS (and data when WiMAX service is unavailable), and the WiMAX radio. In your video, the WiMAX signal indicator shows one of three bars, leading to a clear disadvantage as the other phones have better signal quality on their data links. WiMAX uses different towers and spectrum than CDMA2000 1x, and thus has different signal strengths in different places than the 3G. Please redo the test

  • Verizon is the fastest but it's not unlimited and sprint is the 2nd fastest and unlimited so sprint is the best for ur money..

  • this video needs to be taken down. how you doing a speed test when the network speed on all these devices are not even equal? please let me know

  • The REAL speeds for Sprint 4G are 6 down 1.5 up.

Sprint is the only network with True Unlimited data.

    SPRINT FTW!

  • The Epic is always going to be slower. Its got a crap 4G radio, You should have used the EVO 4G.

  • just depends on ur location im on longisland where t mobile is currently the only 4g provider and i average 9mbs

  • @bobby45 yeah same long island i get 6-9 and groton ct i get like 4-5 for t-mobile

  • Keep in mind this video was recorded when LTE first came out so the data pipes for the Verizon LTE are empty while the ATT HSPA+ and Sprint Wimax are overloaded with users.

I would not put much emphasis on this video since the speeds are obviously going to be faster on verizon LTE when LTE is just starting to ramp up its service.

  • Well I want to see an updated video since a few weeks ago T-mobile just upgraded their Hspa+ network to peak speed of 42mbps from their previous 21mbps, I would like to see a comparison now, please

  • HOW COULD YOU HAVE DECLINED SANGWOOK CHANG'S CALL???

  • You really should have edited that phone call out, I can see the name and number. Sounds like a load of fun if I was a terrible person.

  • Tbol rocks

  • I've gotten 35 down on my Charge.

  • Ill set my g2x up to any phone and show you speeds. Made some att and Verizon people wish they never left t mo once they saw my bill.

  • THUNDERBOLT HAS LIGHTNING FAST SPEEDS LITERALLY!

  • That wasnt fair bcuz the tmobile fone was just saying h which is 3g but for it to b 4g it has to say h+

  • @iHelper321 wouldnt matter LTE is clearly GOD of all networks

  • @Ricojesse6969 Yes it is. :)

  • Not sure if you pointed it out at some other point, the Epic had a SINGLE bar of service. Both of the other phones were @ FULL service. Not surprising though, my epic routinely gets 5+Mb w/ just a single bar. 9Mb @ 2 bars and 16Mb w/ 3. The 2.5GHz of WiMax limits indoor reception, however Sprint is moving to LTE via their 800MHz, 1.9GHz, and 2.5GHz frequencies which will be utilized simultaneously. What do the other 2 phones get with 1 bar of service? Just curious?

  • Thunderbolt #1

  • when tmobile first had hspa+ released i just bought the vibrant which is only hspa, but i was downloading @ about 7 mbs then & uploading @ 3 mbs. then after about 3 to 4 months when everyone started contracting with tmobile because of the speeds people were getting with regular 3G & the soon to be released G2 which was a real hspa+ phone, things started to slow down to 2 mbs & 1.5 mbs upload. i see the same thing happening with verizon, though theyll be around sprints average speed on downloads.

  • your ABOUT a fucking dumbass cause the epic only hade 1 bar of 4g im a long time owner of the epic 4g and i know that even with 3 bars the epic would wipe them all with full 4g bars i was geting over 14 lol love dumb ppl

  • @TheDemonFang exactly and he started the epic last!!!!!!!!

  • @TheDemonFang I'd like to point out that signal strength and throughput do not have a linear correlation. Case and point I had full bars on my Thunderbolt and got a 28mbps downstream rate, and with half that signal strength it only tests slightly under that at around 22-23ish. If you read the technical specs and real world tests from the various 4G networks you'll see that Verizon's is technically the fastest, however the others aren't that far behind. ATT&T's "4G" is a joke though.

  • you do realize running the test simultaneously interferes with each other.

  • @dinnerandashow You do realize that they actually don't because they're running on separate networks that utilize different ranges in the radio spectrum right?

  • @confusingboat

    different bands interfere also.

  • Woot I got Sungwook Chang's number! 714-262-2426 :) I hope he has unlimited texting ;D

  • This was bullcrap I get way more then that with my vibrant using hsdpa lol where was u at

  • what i really hate about verizon lte is that it is not unlimited and costs more, while on sprint wimax it is only 10 dollars more and it is completely unlimited.

  • @1499Erick On smartphones the 4G data plan is currently unlimited for $29.99 month, the tiered pricing is for 4G mobile broadband (4G USB Modems, Dedicated Mobile Hotspots & Tablets). Smartphone Mobile Hotspot is currently free for Thunderbolt users until May 15, then it will be $20/month extra on top of the unlimited data plan for 2GB, $20/GB over.

  • I got Sungwood Chang's phone number! 714-262-2426! And I know where she LIVES!!! Hahahahaa!! =D

  • Keep in mind the device speed differences.

  • Oh crap i still want an iPhone, but 32GB white iPhone 5 on Verizon with 4G LTE is the one i am waiting for!

  • Wow G2 in pittsburgh gets 10mbps...

  • The thunderbolt is very inaccurate. 12 is just outrages for 4g. I know it's possible but somethings not right.

  • @proskateronnie The thunderbolt isn't inaccurate. Users using the dongle have reported speeds up to 20 Mbps on verizon's network. It really is that fast. Unfortunately, the 4G radio will drain the battery on the thunderbolt like there's no tomorrow, as little as 3-4 hrs.

  • my g2 gets 12.6 up 2down

  • epic only had one bar of wiimax if it would have been full it would at least got up to 5.00mb down

  • Where are you testing this, because my G2 gets 7.17Mbps down and 1.14Mbps up

  • Tlordon, your very right. Once Verizon gets loaded with more 4g users there going to slow down a bunch..dumbasses

  • why did you test it on t-mobiles oldest 4g phone. test it on at least the galaxy s 4g

  • Tgb cap what's that like 20 YouTube be videos LMFAO

That's why u get the speeds no one else using it to save there 5gb allotment

Speed means nothing if Iu can't go far....

5gb that's for readers that check email...

  • Sprint 4g isn't as fast on speedtest vs lte in short bursts try large files

Also wimax and lge is about same speed theoretically..

V just has the cap wide open.

Sprint has it tuned down for now....

Wait till more get on v lte network and watch ur speed drop to same as Sprint

U forget wimax is closer to wifi than lte and we can get over 100mb

    Lte is 700mhz battery sucker

Building penetration is a v marketing slam

Just wait sprint has always started with small but solid footprint and grew it

  • @tlordon its true, they just raised there upload speed to 1.5 mb's. on 6/10/11, so thas's good. also in about a year they'll be using both wimax & lte. the only network with both 4g technology's. there should be some crazy benefits with that, it'll be interesting.

  • How bout real speed test..

    Upload an download 500mb file

  • @tlordon you think he would waste his 500mb out of his precious 5gigs? now with sprint he could download 500mb files 500 times and still watch all the divx movies he wants!

  • @jay33011211 verizon actually confrimed there is no "5 gig limit"

they only bill you if you tether

  • @PurpleMonkeyChannel so its unlimited lte? or unlimited 3G? you know how there fine print is.i have to do some resaearch if thats true then its well worth the price, ill switch to verizon when they get the 4G galaxy s2 if they ever.the sgs2 is only going to be 3g on verizon but have sprints 4G wimax, something about the frequencies isnt good for the phone & 700mgz is so penetrating they cant shield the phone from its frequencies.fries the circuits...

  • @jay33011211 You get unlimited data for your phone, wether it be 4g or 3g. The 5 gig limit is just a rumor and verizon only will charge extra if you tether. If you are downloading files from websites, streaming vids, etc then no there is no limit

  • Dude what is Verizon`s network on? It`s like it is on steroids. But you would expect that because it is a new network. Came out late 2010. I just don`t like the 5GB cap with Verizon and T-Mobile. I like that sprint has truly unlimited data for their 4G network.

  • DAMN. Verizon is just beast. Cant wait till 4G hits my area.

  • @MetalllicAISMetal by the time 4G hits your area, lte speeds might be slower. remember the more traffic the slower things move, so verizon's testing's aren't valid until at least a year into the lte release to make a fair speed test. im in newyork & a decent amount of people have the verizon's lte phone's, they download on average of 6 to 7 mb's & upload's are 4 to 5 mb's. so i'd say thats there true average speed. best thing to do is check it at the verizon store & see how fast it is in ur zone

  • Verizon HTC thunderbolt isn't lying

  • Tmobile's 4g dial up is the best

  • @emproar02 We're just gonna ignore that remark...lol

  • @MegaSonny33 lomao! dial up lol i remember when having the 2 phone lines in 1 modem with aol 3.0 was cool!

  • Metro PC's lte rocks!

  • holy shit! verizon's lte network is rediculous, BUT i hear it costs about 20 dollars extra added onto ur data plan. Sprint is only 10 dollars lol

  • is the 4g something u have to buy separately? cuz i heard you can get your own 4g network so that you never have to rely on slow wi-fi's.

  • @I3loody You have to purchase a LTE data plan in addition to the phone and the standard voice/text plan. With the data plan you can use your phone as a 4G hotspot, which allows you to use it as a wifi router, so to say.

  • @TheGeeksHere any idea how much that would cost?

  • @I3loody An extra $20 a month for hotspot service on top of the data plan ($30.) Verizon has a promo right now which offers free hotspot service unitl May 15 with the purchase of a Thunderbolt. Of course, you can root the phone, which allows access to free wireless tether apps...

  • @TheGeeksHere thx for the info, but i just bought a Droid X off Amazon for $50 xD. Brand new too haha, I hope it does me good o.O

  • @TheGeeksHere Actually, they extended it until june 15th. I dont know why, but they extended another month for the thunderbolt.

  • @I3loody If you go with tmobile like right now youll get the free hot spot witch will let you give a wifi singal off your phone. i have a mytouch 4g and i singed a new contract like20days ago and its free for me up untill 2 years =)

  • @monstergreen23 T-Mobile bottlenecks your data after 2 gb of data usage. This includes tethering. Once you go over the limit they force you to use 2G. It is really bad... I switched over to verizon. Tethering isn't part of the data allowance and they gave me unlimited data instead of an allowance for free. Am loving Verizon!

  • @TheGeeksHere U stated twice incorrect data 4 the TBolt. What makes u say that? If the phone is that fast, then it's just that damn fast!

  • @I3loody you can get it in a usb from verizon but i dont know what it is called and you can get mifi verizon 4g and there are two versions of it but both require a data plan.

  • The speed test program has a glitch when it comes to the upload speeds, but when it comes to the thunderbolt download speeds those are certainly true. The LTE speed is so sick and blazing fast i have one of my own and damn makes att, tmobile, and sprint look like crap. im out of phx and im getting 12 mbps download. im glad i chose the thunderbolt after watching this video. i always said that dual core crap is overrated gnna wait til the end of the year or next year 4 a true beast with quad-core

  • @MrPreciado21 I get 11mbps speed on my Evo 4g. I think it only matters where you live to get the best speeds.

  • What's weird is that you say that the Thunderbolt is pulling incorrect data. Then you say it's the best. How do you know that if it is pulling unreliable information? This test is inconclusive at best.
