Thanks again for sharing this unreleased material of Queen from all stages of their career. This song reminds me of Sade of "Smooth Criminal" fame and on the Queen catalog, "MY Baby Does it" from the album The Miracle. Also, the "Impromptu" live track performed on the Magic tour. We know Mercury and Deacon were fond of funky/R&B grooves and starting with the Game album were able to include tracks on this vein on Queen's albums.
Why is it if you heard a Queen song once ad you haven't heard it for long and heard it once and can't even remember what it sounds like you hear it and know it off by heart.
Easy to see why this wasn't used on Innuendo. Way too funky and lively for that record which is, mostly, quite reflective and serious. Mind you, I'd rather this than Delilah. Why did Roger give in and let Freddie include that on an otherwise brilliant album?!
It sounds like it should be on that album, yet Freddie's voice on this sounds exactly the same on all the other Innuendo tracks. SO either it was recorded during or after the Innuendo sessions.
Its a very nice great track, Freddie is so talented. No offense but it kinda sounds like a good strip club song... kinda like in the way Sinead O'connor's "I Want Your Hands On Me" does
I think because of the soul/r&b influence (listen to the rythmic guitar licks). It is not a rocker like Brian's or Roger's songs. Could have been Freddie's, too.
The sketches were created by a french artist of the 19 th century this artist was Grandville, also in the same time a very popular satyric drawer named Daumier.they styles of drauwing are mostly alike...

"Mind you, I'd rather this than Delilah. Why did Roger give in and let Freddie include that on an otherwise brilliant album?!"
Because Delilah was Freddie's favorite cat.

This is another song they should have worked on and brought it to fruition.

This song has nothing to do with the whole Innuendo idea and sound
It's a good song, but does not fit in that album
queriassaber 2 years ago
That's probably the reason they didn't put it on the album.

Lord of Mercy; It just dawned on me that Freddie entirely vocalized this song. And that is awesome and very very few can match his talents.

Dave, Are these some of Freddie's sketches?
If so, I think they should be printed and marketed for sale!
Thanks DAVE!
