high fashion is the appropriation of many different cultures' symbols and motifs, stripped of their meaning and context, served on a pretty little platter for the rich, upper class.
at least mcqueen was more subtle/creative/imaginative with his influences. I mean, come on, this collection is so cheesy.

The golden King Tut gown Erin O'Connor wore could be the most spectacular dress I have ever seen in my life.
It is ridiculously perfect.
