Yes, NetSim 8 does support some debugging commands depending on the version of NetSim 8 purchased (CCENT, CCNA, CCNP). However, NetSim 8 does not support all debug commands. If you would like more specific details, please email us at support@boson.com.
Boson Team, keep up the great products. I have returned to Youtube and expecting to hit it harder than I did before. It is because of products like yours that make it possible for people like me to thrive on and get the job done! Boson for the WIN! You products are fantastic!
Michael, I wanted to say hello. It has been a while since you and I have talk. Since I have used your Great product for Tshoot, I have passed the exam and I have been a CCNP since August of 2009. In October of 2009 I was given an offer letter from Hewlett Packard as a Level 3 Network Engineer. I wanted to shout out to you since it has been a while. I am starting my youtube channel again and creating a Cisco training website. All possible due to BOSON. Thanks Mike and keep up the great products
@ErlWable Well, I will have to say you should be feeling pretty stupid right about now. You can check out my channel and see I do not have anything to do with Boson. What I stated was true. Michael contacted me when I had my last Youtube channel up and running, him and I talked several times. It is the closed minds that ignores a good product. You want to pass your Tshoot exam, than use Boson. I cannot comment on other Boson products but which I would have found them earlier. Boson for the WIN
@ErlWable Also you should see that 9 months ago I was asking questions about the software and Michael responded. Which means the customer service is great! After I passed my Tshoot exam, I stop posting until recently since now I am back on you tube. You should hear me out..... The Tshoot from Boson is worth every penny
Aww, know I understand. I was forgetting that once th IP Helper command is issued, it turns that broadcast into a unicast. Therefore it does not have to be on every router. Thank you for the response, There is not an error on theBoson Exam Environment, the error is within my conguested brain, ;)
Additionally, the helper address doesn't go on the router... it goes on the PCs gateway, which is DS2. The gateway receives the DHCP broadcast and forwards it to the DHCP server. If it were on the router, the request would never reach the router, because DS2 won't forward the broadcast.
If you've got a technical concern, you should click the Feedback button in the Boson Exam Environment software and submit the question there.
If it is the ticket I am thinking of, the PCs address is not statically configured - it is configured by DHCP, which you can verify on Router4 with the show ip dhcp binding command. The address conflict is with DS1, which has a statically configured address.
Now, in all honesty, if someone asked me this question, my answer would be"Lets Lab it and found out!" But I was hoping you could share some light on this one.
Now the answer I came up with on this scanario is....Since the ip address and gateway was already on the PC then I would not be concern with ARP requesting. But playing the devils advocate here....Looking at it this way is telling me that the IP address is statically configured. So in this method, am I wrong about the IP-Helper command? Or will things like this be on the real TSHOOT exam? Because if I was thinking that it was statically configured, then I would not look at DHCP
I do have a technical question on the config. I was going through a ticket Try to ping from pc to server. I noticed that the DHCP was on router 4 and noticed that there was no IP helper command on R5. This is what I was looking at as the problem. But the problem was duplicate Ip addesses do to DHCP not having exclusion. This is true, but if a router does not foward broadcast, how will R4 ever get the broadcast from ARP? Coming from R4 to R5 is fine since it'll be unicast
