I like the chinese wushu style better "I don't care if you can't get deeper, I just push more and more" .. THAT's the way I learned it within 2 months from rather unflexible (90 degree angle) to be able to do the splits right after waking up without warmup. Was horribly painful though, thought he was ripping my tendons apart, but I was always perfectly fine afterwards (except muscle ache, but thats endurable)

since the past month i haven't got to rely everyday on trying to attempt to do the splits. but this month i'll have a wonderful chance to since i don't have any homework in the way and since school is finally over :) but i did try to do it for a week. my flexibility has gone better than the first day. i can at least stretch most of my legs but i still have to get it as stretched and flexible as i possibly can. so hopefully this month will give me more time to work on it :)
@DeborahJayTV i never be able to do spilts but i did gymnastics.The streching can hurt yes and when it hurts for me then i would keep the pose for some seconds and then stop doing the pose.be careful so you don't rip you muscels apart because then you need to see a doctor.don't force it to much,if it hurts to much then stop!
i am 14 and am averagly flexible i guess. i never did gymnastics or anything and i can do the splits. how long would it take me to be able to do them though (sorry, i couldnt really hear what u were saying)....
