You haven't missed anything Betty. British trifle is unappealing to say the least; a travesty of a proper English trifle, which is an entirely different thing and a work of art.
@sohan181 I used 4 tablespoons of an artificial sweetener. and the pudding mix was sugar-free (so it contained artificial sweetener). I also use whipped topping--which you can get sugar-free or with sugar. You can make it without the cake, but I don't think it will be quite as good. Thanks for your questions!
I use yellow and chocolate cake and instead of fruit I use jello...always fun for kids and colors are also very feastive. I think buying pound cake is a great alternative is short on time. thanks for the tips
The trifle looks delicious. I make one similar. I use pound cake, strawberries, cool whip and I use the Sara Lee Cheesecake Bites as another layer. It is nice for parties. Love your recipes!
What a very good idea! I was thinking of making it for the next 4th Of July, but now maybe i want to make it for Sunday instead. How could i make it without any milk products? Some of my family members are lactose and tolerant. Should i make one with milk and another without? Please help! Thanks again for inspiring me!!!
I don't know if you live where lactose-free milk is available, but if you can get that you can make vanilla pudding and substitute that into the recipe. If you have access to lactose-free products, look for something that is like yogurt, and that will work--or you can make one with milk and one without, as you suggested. I hope you can work this out! Thanks for your sweet comment!
well i was thnking mabie if u would like to know u could make poundcake in req shape and spread pudding on top and bluuberries as the stars and strawberrys and pudding as the stripes well just a idea for fourth of july=]
Hi Betty, Your tops look almost as good as your food. Please let us see inside your closet sometime. That would be sooooo much fun. Stay cute and keep cooking!!!!!!
You should buy white choc stars and put them on top of a square of blueberries and then make some stripes from extra strawberries......or maybe not, yours is perfect as it is heehee
I love your video! I'm going to try this. Also you sound like your from Texas.
