Fuel economy does go down but it is still manageable. It only has a 1.2 gallon tank so it's not gonna break the bank. With big bore kits, your reliability goes down somewhat. Honda now doesn't make any two stroke scooters. They made them from 1987-2001 but the best years were between 94-2001 because they had the most aftermarket parts. Here's something I don't get. Why hasn't Honda just manufactured something like this to blow all other mopeds out of the fucking water? This thing is monstrously quick. Honda would *kill* the competition! These parts don't sound/look terribly expensive for the bonus you get in terms of power bump.

Is there any detraction to this, such as reduced MPG, wear and tear, or other bits? Shitty suspension? I'm just very curious!

not as many places carry parts for elite 80. THey aren't really a great platform to modify so I couldn't tell you where to look really.

How do you get that much speed out of only 50 cc? I've got 80 and my honda elite doesn't go quite that fast...maybe age has something to do with it (1986) but...

a 72cc polini cylinder kit, taller gears, pipe, carb, trans parts etc...
