can anyone tell me what kind of boots the props and locks wear at club level around australia? i play in ireland and and wear adidas flankers and puma kings (both 8 stud, different size studs depending on how soft the ground is) i'm going to sydney playing for 6 months and want to make sure i have the right boots for the ground out there from march to august

Actually thats completely wrong, the made League without scrums, full on tacklings and line outs, because when League went proffessional, combined with medicine at the time, Proffessional players were becoming injured too often and it became a strain on the sport paying players when many of them were injured.
However in the modern era with huge breakthroughs in training styles, physiotherapy and medicine. Rugby Union can be competed at proffessional level.

at the beginning of this year, i wanted giteau to play at 12 for the wallabies. but to watch him all season controlling games, mixing up the game, making the calls and executing with such precision - he has to be a 10, you don't get enough opportunity to be so influential from 12. backline should be valentine/burgess, giteau, barnes, mortlock, hynes, ashley-cooper, drew mitchell/lachie turner. but it sounds like robbie wants james o'connor at 15 so we'll see how that goes

mate did you watch any of the super 14 this year? giteau was by any measure the standout number ten of the season, followed closely by morne steyn - steyn had a solid game and directed his backs well, but still lacks the 'x factor' that a player like giteau or carter bring to a game.
which year are you talking about when smith sat out for waugh? 2001?
giteau's place kicking and general play kicking has been exceptional this year. i used to think he should be 12 but this year he's proved he's10

um...i watched a few games...and sure...giteau played a few nice games...but it was against teams like the stormers...and because he was the *high performer* at the force his good games stood out like dogs balls...and if your asking me if ive watched much s14 this year..theres 1 guy u didnt mention...stephen donald from the chiefs...he,along with steyn were the competition standouts...and theyre both not 1st choice internations...

huh? see i have watched almost every game. the force actually lost to the stormers.
what about performances like against the crusaders where he single handedly brought the game to a 23-23 draw? or against the hurricanes, setting up four tries(only to end up narrowly losing with a corey jayne try after the siren),or against the bulls who they almost beat in pretoria (32-29)... and i'm not even a force fan!
i agree about donald though, great performer, should be all black no. 10 this year

as i said before...donald 3rd best NZ styne #2 SA...giteau #1 AUS yet probably 3rd best S14 10...hes not a 10...hes a 12...hes being forced into 10 cause aussie has no depth there

at the beginning of this year, i wanted giteau to play at 12 for the wallabies. but to watch him all season controlling games, mixing up the game, making the calls and executing with such precision - he has to be a 10, you don't get enough opportunity to be so influential from 12. backline should be valentine/burgess, giteau, barnes, mortlock, hynes, ashley-cooper, drew mitchell/lachie turner. but it sounds like robbie wants james o'connor at 15 so we'll see how that goes

my opinions are based on his games home and away for the wallabies vs top 7 nations...sure hes had some blinders for the force and some blinders vs teams like fiji...but with him at 10 aussie dont even look close to winning a bledisloe tri nation grand slam or WC...and hes been there for a few seasons...its time to put barnes there (who aint that bad)...and put giteau in his best position 12...i personally think vs top nations giteau is short of the mark @10

donald would be 3rd choice NZ 10(behind carter and mccalister)...and styne would be behind ruaan pinaer from the sharks as stated by the SA coach...where as giteau is sposed to be 1st choice 10...an international... giteau is not in the same X-factor league...hes an outstanding player...he needs to develop a kick..giteau was by NO WAY *standout 10 of the season

i really don't know where you've picked up this nonsense that giteau can't kick. watch the wallabies v barbarians next saturday. i'll be at the stadium, i can't wait. giteau has the vision to make the right decisions on when/where to kick, and the accuracy of execution to make those decisions pay off
