Fosse was originality personified AND I loved his some of his choreographic style incorporated into Beyonce's Get Me Bodied; his style is clear but obviously hard to realize.
I know right. I can't keep up with today's current pop music and videos, it just sucks so bad. So I didn't even know anything about Beyonce doing a video influenced by this until I came on youtube seeing all these comments. Now it seems kids these days don't anything about great classics like these, so maybe it takes someone like Beyonce to wake them up to them.
This film was done with dancers hand-picked by, trained by, rehearsed by, directed by, and screamed at by Fosse. I know one of them and she's told me the greatest stories.

I watched that beyonce video after hearing something was inspired by this and out of curiousity i was disgusted. No no no. Horrible. I don't even want to talk about it but i do want to bring it up.
I had NO IDEA that Beyonce's "Get Me Bodied" was Fosse inspired. Maybe that's why I loved that video so much :) A Fosse classic with a modern spin. That's great.
For all of you Knocking Beyonce: I feel it's great that she took the time out to do a remake of this choreography because I've never heard of Bob Fosse, or Rich Man's Frug...but seeing this kept me in awe and had me watch ALL the clips connecting to this one. I've heard stories of what a scary perfectionist Fosse was in rehearsals ... and boy did it make a difference. No one's choreography is half as stylish as this.

I really disliked this movie when I saw it on an airplane when it was new. In later years I came to appreciate go-go dancing, though.
Many of the female dancers here look like Edie Sedgwick.

I think alot of you need to appreciate what you appreciate and stop hating and praising people you don't know. It looks sad, almost like you live to love or hate someone one you never may know in your partial part of life. The clip is hot and fosse ingenuity has inspired a new generation of performers.

When you see this you realise what a debt today's pop choreographers have to Fosse (not to mention Jerry Robbins, Gower Champion, Jack Cole and Michael Kidd), just look at any R&B video on MTV . And just look at how these dancers dance................bloody amazing!

I know right. I can't keep up with today's current pop music and videos, it just sucks so bad. So I didn't even know anything about Beyonce doing a video influenced by this until I came on youtube seeing all these comments. Now it seems kids these days don't anything about great classics like these, so maybe it takes someone like Beyonce to wake them up to them.

This film was done with dancers hand-picked by, trained by, rehearsed by, directed by, and screamed at by Fosse. I know one of them and she's told me the greatest stories.
Anyway, no one has danced it better. This is the source.

For all of you Knocking Beyonce: I feel it's great that she took the time out to do a remake of this choreography because I've never heard of Bob Fosse, or Rich Man's Frug...but seeing this kept me in awe and had me watch ALL the clips connecting to this one. Come on' not a lot of stars give honor and credit to the original which help stem off the talent they have today...

I've always loved Bob Fosse and this is one of his greatest dances.
I think it's great that Beyonce has come out with a video that is an homage to this. And I think it's awesome that Beyonce even knew about this because not too many people know who Bob Fosse is nowadays. Hopefully a new generation can be inspired by him
