  • Hello. I am purchasing this keyboard, hopefully, as an upgrade from my 2000/2001 model, CTK-551, which could no longer work off electricity due to a bad diode.

I am curious, does this unit mandatoraly require the Casio Plug n Play pack to sample, or should it work with any lineout cord or larger jack microphone?

    Any help is appriciated. Thanks!

  • @dispatcher50100 it will work with any lineout jack

  • @kingofbeast23123 I'm trying to decide if the CTK-4000 works well as a midi controller. Is that what you are using to control your soft synths?

  • @paulpaid oh yeah but you don't need a midi plug but you have to buy one for the keyboard
