@opetke On the plus side, what happened with Oakland might finally motivate the political leaders in the "Occupied" cities to grow some balls and begin cracking down on those freaks.
@Adamguy2003 Does it make me a bad person if I want to see a Kent State-style incident? I'm so sick of the other side that I'm at the point where I just want to see some hippy blood on the ground.
@Halo4Lyf Not really. However, keep in mind that's just what those freaks want; A Kent State- type moment where they can be seen as heroes/ martyrs, rather than as the repulsive, lawless, spoiled trust- fund brats that they are.
Fortunately, it looks like the Occupy movement is definitely running out of steam now that more politicians are starting to put their foot down.
@Adamguy2003 Why would they be seen as heroes or martyrs to anyone but themselves? They already see themselves as that anyway. I looked up the old polling data from immediately after Kent State. The trend was pretty obvious-the American people were on the side of the National Guard in that incident.
To those who say the "few dozen protestors" picture is an improper depiction of the "Day of Rage" should remember that OWS and DOR, while interrelated, are technically seperate events. Greed isn't bad as long as nobody can take anything from you by force or fraud. Government is corrupt as it is and passes regulation that shuts out competition for various large corporations in many industries. We need to remove any and all congressmen who vote to pass these regulations written by and for lobbyists.
@ztSHOCK Awesome. So you're against Lobbyists who're after regulatory policies that prohibit the corporations from having their own lobbyists pass laws that enable further corporate tax loopholes and workarounds. What do you constitute as fraud or by force? Corporations abilities to unethically control/manipulate various markets they're involved in as fraud? Corporations abilities to charge unethically high interest rates on money borrowed as force? All by law via enFORCEment of law?
@Nihilgeist No. I'm against lobbyists period. However, you described what lobbyists do incorrectly. Big corporations pay lobbyists to lobby congressmen to pass laws that regulate their industry. Those same corporations get EXEMPTIONS or SPECIAL TREATMENT under those same laws, giving them unfair advantages in the marketplace that shuts out competition and hurts the economy. Thus, the government is FORCING the other companies, but not the exempt one, to follow expensive policies or procedures.

When a politician is lying to you and telling you that it is the poor who pay more taxes and the rich pay less, the only thing they are refering to is investment income. Income made from investments ius taxed at a much lower rate, but this is due to the fact that the money invested is what keeps the economy and business running. When times are tough, we need investors to create jobs. This is why we taxes the income made off investment less. A poor man has never created a job! Rich men do.
@rpresser The statement is not only referring to employers as I believe most people are taking it. It also referes to the fact that when the wealthy hire people in to do jobs it creates the jobs. A am n decides to build a new home, that gives work to many who desperately need it. Pays to have his car washed, buys a new car, etc. etc. It all stimulates and creates work. A poor person sitting at home collecting a welfare check, does nothing!
@TheExecutiveDecision which is why lowering capital gains taxes always stimulates employment ... oh wait that didn't happen. There's no reason not to tax capital gain the same as earned income, we've often done so and with no ill effect. Also, you'd have to live in a cardboard box in a state with no sales tax and no income tax to pay only 15% in taxes. Your numbers are bogus. BTW, only rich guys create jobs, eh? Do they have a word for entrepreneur on your planet?
@boronx How can you say it doesn't? Investors create companies, companies create jobs, jobs create money, money creates stimulation in the economy. How can anyone deny that fact? As for my figures being bogus, you're wrong and I double checked that with my own payroll. I have 27 employees. With the low end paying as little as 7%, the highest paying 22%. I personally pay 24%. So the figures are not b.s.
@TheExecutiveDecision I don't know what he said but "Investors create companies, companies create jobs, jobs create money, money creates stimulation in the economy." is offbase. Creators (the people with the idea and/or the ones who put sweat equity in) create companies, workers create goods, goods transform to money, money creates stimulation in the economy. Would be a more accurate. That kind Hamiltonian view is why we as a nation are in the mess we are in IMO.
@mrdatawolf Your statement is very similar to what I said, however Ideas are just ideas without the money to execute them, and sweat equity creates the goods and keeps the company flowing, but they do not create the company. The bottom line is that without money, and the man at the top, There is no jobs or man at the bottom. My dog taking a crap in my yard has created more work than Obama has. Give more free money to the poor and what do you get? More lazy poor people. Let us keep our own money!

2nd Problem. The idea that the poor pay more than the rich is so false it is an outrage that your leaders would even lie right to your face and take you for a fool as they clearly do! The rich ($250,000) pay an average of 29% of their income in taxes. The poor (75,000 or less) pay an average of 15%. So the poor pays only a bit over $11000. The poor pays over $72,500. The rich pay nearly seven times as much, all the while only making less than 4 times more. (continued---->
Heres the problem. This is misinformed and clearly democrat. 1st it said republicans only want more money? The republicans are trying to lower taxes, and trying to keep more money in the hands of the people and not the gov't. The democrats are the ones who want to raise your taxes, and want to spend more of your money for things like tuition for illegal immigrants. It was the democrats who gave your money (over 500 million) to the solar co. that just went under in less than 3 years.
@Soderstrom The statements made within the song are not comedy, and I don't think anyone is taking this as comedy. Its a funny tune, and funny arrangement, but you cannot pass this off as comedy. Its politics!

errr...Arabs are semites too, you know. And Zionists are rarely Middle Eastern thus aren't born of Abraham and don't really qualify as semitic, so euphemism or no euphemism that wasn't really anti-semitism there but just a really really bad counter-argument.

@Adamguy2003 I'm a Jew against Zionists. All Zionists are Jews but not all Jews are Zionists. Zionists are modern day Nazis, they hate everyone that is not a Jew and do not mind killing them.
President Obama puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. The only difference is when he puts his pants on, they have 60% more, unprecedented rage. I gotta fever and the only prescription is more rage.
No wonder if you're in such deep shit if your only response to people protesting about corporate corruption and abolition of civil rights is "Ha ha, weed-smoking hippies".
They are defective. They should be at the White House where our beloved president, who hates the rich and loves the poor (even though he vacations with the rich, gives them our tax money for deals, knowing they're a second from bankruptcy and hobnobs with same characters while cutting Medicare, Gitmo still open, Iraq/Af and starting more wars, producing NO jobs and laundering money to union leaders to give back to DNC, not members or benefits). They're fake. Stay sexy, melon.
@averitas Seeing how Wall Street is home sweet home to people who nurse and control both the president and congress, I'd say they're on target. It'd probably be a better idea to go one deeper and protest Federal Reserve directly, but it's a start.
@impossible2day yeah, cause otherwise no one would have heard of it. I'm sorry, that was mean and hurtful. Let's talk non political for a second. Look up i8athumbtack on youtube. Watch their video LET'S JUST BE FRIENDS. they r really good. :)
jkesslar he was an opponent to nixon and a supporter of jimmy carter he was killed by the same type of mentally Ill guy that shot reagan and gabby giffords Its all In their heads their brians are sick and they need help professionally screw It up after lennon was killed reagan Is why the mentally Ill are killing us, seriously.
Looks more like "Dozen" of individuals! The rest must have been making a Starbucks run... or standing in line for the latest 4G Iphone...or shopping for new Coexist bumperstickers...or stepping up to pay carbon credits...or being eaten by grizzlies....or bathing for the first time in months.... or crying as their father's call them Nancy boy... Leftists are so fun!
@Halo4Lyf What about an ethical approach to economics? Can you expound on what ethical economics means to you and whether you think that CEO's continuing to receive large bonuses from tax-payer bail out money is aligned with your principles on the matter?
@nodollarsign The only ethical question I would have any control over in that example you're citing would be the tax-payer funded bailout. I opposed them then and would oppose any future ones. Bankruptcy exists for a reason, it should be used when a company fails.
But if I were one of those corporate CEOs, whose banks went under largely because of government-imposed lending mandates, and Congress just dumps money in my lap... I'd probably take it and run.

LOL @ Tea Party being a grass roots group. How many grass roots groups are funded by billionaires? Zero. None. Gee O Peers stay of the internet is was funded by the government.
@Wondertwn Hate to break it to you but the tea party is not a party and is not funded by "Billionaires", are there groups that may be? I'm sure there are, but the tea party is not one party, it's thousands and thousands of unique groups, unlike pretty much every leftist front on earth that are all backed by Soros.
This DAY OF RAGE was so laughable. These commie idiots were expecting over 20,000 people, but only got a couple hundred show up. They are just a bunch of leftist losers wannabes trying to be a grass roots group like the TEA Party. But these losers didn't SUCKceed, they only suck.
@simwrangler SO not wanting to be exploited by the rich nor allow them to be "bailed out" with your tax dollars AND actually make them pay taxes, so you don't foot the bill = communism??? Interesting. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
@Fatal616 - "not wanting to be exploited by the rich"... yeah, I wanna be exploited by the rich. I want some rich person to HIRE me and exploit my industry and ability in exchange for MONEY.
Do you consider the 47% who pay no taxes as "rich"?
Please explain to me how people who have no money, who generate no wealth, can possibly be paying a bill which is primarily made up of payments for social welfare entitlements the rich aren't eligible to receive?
@Fatal616 Hey fucktard, they do pay taxes. The same percentage as everyone else. it's you liberal assholes who don't want to pay taxes and want the job providers to pay your part asshole.
@simwrangler The rich pay much, much more - and a higher percentage too in fed taxes, capital gains tax, estate tax, state tax, corporate tax, alternative minimum tax, etc. Meanwhile - 47% of the country pays Nothing in federal income taxes due the [un]Earned Income Credit *cough* stealth wealth redistribution tax credit. In fact most of that 47% receive back more than they put in - haven't contributed shit in decades. Where's their 'fair share'. Who do they think pays for everything? Them? HA!
IT'S THE FAULT OF THE JEWS! I mean Zionists.

errr...Arabs are semites too, you know.

That's funny, I don't care who you are.
President Obama puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. The only difference is when he puts his pants on, they have 60% more, unprecedented rage. I gotta fever and the only prescription is more rage.

@SexyMelon
Stay sexy, melon.
averitas 5 months ago
@averitas Seeing how Wall Street is home sweet home to people who nurse and control both the president and congress, I'd say they're on target. It'd probably be a better idea to go one deeper and protest Federal Reserve directly, but it's a start.

@Halo4Lyf What about an ethical approach to economics? Can you expound on what ethical economics means to you and whether you think that CEO's continuing to receive large bonuses from tax-payer bail out money is aligned with your principles on the matter?
nodollarsign 5 months ago

@Wondertwn No one "funds" the Tea Party. Another leftist who cannot fathom the concept of a decentralized, bottom-up movement.
TheLastBrainLeft 5 months ago 4
@Wondertwn Hate to break it to you but the tea party is not a party and is not funded by "Billionaires", are there groups that may be? I'm sure there are, but the tea party is not one party, it's thousands and thousands of unique groups, unlike pretty much every leftist front on earth that are all backed by Soros.
jkessler410 5 months ago 3
@Wondertwn WRONG!
the internet, as you and I know it, was funded ENTIRELY by BIG EVIL CORPORATIONS!!!
the internet, as gov't funded it, was entirely text based, and only available to the EVIL WEALTHY ELITES and gov't agencies

@simwrangler SO not wanting to be exploited by the rich nor allow them to be "bailed out" with your tax dollars AND actually make them pay taxes, so you don't foot the bill = communism??? Interesting. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
Fatal616 5 months ago
@Fatal616 - "not wanting to be exploited by the rich"... yeah, I wanna be exploited by the rich. I want some rich person to HIRE me and exploit my industry and ability in exchange for MONEY.
Do you consider the 47% who pay no taxes as "rich"?
Please explain to me how people who have no money, who generate no wealth, can possibly be paying a bill which is primarily made up of payments for social welfare entitlements the rich aren't eligible to receive?
Hiraghm 5 months ago 3
@Fatal616 Hey fucktard, they do pay taxes. The same percentage as everyone else. it's you liberal assholes who don't want to pay taxes and want the job providers to pay your part asshole.
simwrangler 5 months ago 2
@simwrangler The rich pay much, much more - and a higher percentage too in fed taxes, capital gains tax, estate tax, state tax, corporate tax, alternative minimum tax, etc. Meanwhile - 47% of the country pays Nothing in federal income taxes due the [un]Earned Income Credit *cough* stealth wealth redistribution tax credit. In fact most of that 47% receive back more than they put in - haven't contributed shit in decades. Where's their 'fair share'. Who do they think pays for everything? Them? HA!
HayPennie 5 months ago
@HayPennie Yeah, these lame ass liberals don't see that. The liberal freeloaders want things handed to them and want other people to pay for it.
simwrangler 5 months ago
@Fatal616 Exploited? Do you have any idea who actually pays the bulk of the taxes in this country. Hint: it's not these enraged, entitled assholes.
