Coronet- and several other "bargain" labels- often issued these "tribute" albums with varying degrees of quality and success. "Charles Rand" was an alias for an unknown studio organist who really didn't sound like Ken or played in his style- yet Coronet lured unsuspecting record buyers with the magic words "A Tribute to....".
This is too-funny. I have an old Coronet pressing of this. Testing out a Dual 506 table. There's a surreal quality to these old organ records. I'm just glad to actually-be spinning some vinyl again.
