  • @nptrock Who gave this dude thumbs down? Anybody here even know what the Golden Age is?

    Ignorant fools...

  • ol´skool for life!! it´s feelin´ U feel me :P

  • Agreed dpat2004

  • Funky shit !!!

    Finess is the cool .

  • some funky ass shit ! classic

  • That's what it's all about folks: a hype loop, funky beats, some real scratching and great braggadocio lyrics about who's the best MC. I agree with dpat2004, although I have to expand the time slot a bit: the best hip hop era was from 1984 - 1996. What do guys like Lil' Wayne know about diggin' for beats? What do they know about two turntables and a mic? These guys all have to pay their dues to the 'mid-skool' as I'd like to describe it. 1984 - 1996, the era that produced classic albums. Period.

  • @SaborCaracter Amen brotha.

  • Thanks for the props. Glad to see some real cats still on the same level. No discussion needed: the music speaks for itself. Today's kids might start 2 understand once they dig more of this quality stuff over time. I was 7 years old when Rapper's Delight hit the charts back in '78 and us kids trying to rap along when they were on TV. That's more than 30 years ago... Peace.

  • I feel you man. Speaking of Lord Finesse, kids need to start DITC if you know what I mean[;

But yes, the beginning of the Golden Age, if only more people understood why it should easily still be alive. Much love homie.

  • @SaborCaracter

couldnt have said it better myself.

  • @rhod2k9 Thanks! Glad to see there's more folks that agree with me! ;-)

  • @SaborCaracter Yes, you're right. But we have also some classic french albums in the period 1996 - 2000.

Guys like Oxmo Puccino "Opera Puccino" (1998), Shurik'n "Où Je Vis" (1998), Lunatic "Mauvais Oeil" (2000), IAM "L'Ecole Du Micro D'Argent" (1997), Arsenik "Quelques gouttes suffisent" (1998), and other stuff like that, and also with the period "Time Bomb" which is a group of some rappers : X-Men, Oxmo Puccino, Lunatic..

We love the real hip-hop ! One love bro' ;)

  • @SaborCaracter You summed it all up but make an exception to ur time period an dthrow in Big L's 2nd album although not as good as lifestyles still has some classic tracks

  • From 86 to 95 was the best era of hip hop period.

  • 86 to early 98 i say 97 was hot son u crazyyyy

  • not every rapper is underground. but most are.

skyzoo. royce. wafeek, d-black. inverse. tiron. keelay and zaire. look em up. you'll find more ppl

  • lol is eminem underground then

  • haha he's mainstream. he's wack. used to have good songs but he got lame. that's my opinion.

nobody get butthurt and start bitching.

  • @skaterdie23 Quite the contrary, I agree, haha.

Anybody wanna debate it go ahead, let's have a discussion.

  • @skaterdie23 Exactly, I actually like a lot of slaughterhouse. AOTP is cool too. Good shit though.

  • Love this extended version. Not too many MCs can insert different voices in their songs and still flow like Finesse. Slick Rick and Em being the only other ones off the top of my head. Thanks for posting.-777
