  • Thanks for the instructional videos. Can I use the football clamp from the Rip cord rest to use this for installation of this rest?

  • Another fantastic video on the G5 Fall-Away-Rest -- When it came time to purchase a bow rest for my 2011 Elite Pure >:) -- I remembered this video and bought the new G5 Expert Pro Rest. Thx again for leading the way!

  • will fobs work with this rest?

  • Hey Kenny, I have a question. I have a recurve bow, rated at 32 lbs. and I have a competition style arrow rest on it. I know this sounds strange, but I don't like dropaways like most people do.

What I am looking for is a fixed arrow rest, that gives me good accuracy, versatility (accuracy shots, hunting or bowfishing), and speed of reloading.

So do you know an arrow rest that suits my needs and is not too expensive (80$ max)? Oh and... I don't like whisker Bisquets...

    Thanks, -Nax

  • @NaxTactical Forgot to mention this, I also need a large degree of motion. So I can move my bow in alot of directions, without my arrow falling of. But that is just something that would be great, it's not neccesary on the rest. It would be nice though... xD -Nax

  • can you tell me how i know if i need my bow tuned or not because the vibration on my bow is not normal

  • I have taken my bow (matthews switchback xt) to 2 "authourized" G5 dealers to have my expert 2 rest installed. The first had totally butchered it, didn't secure it properly and tied it in about 8 inches lower on the upward moving cable and just wedged it in there with no servings on either side. The 2nd shop, secured the rest on for me (did not use a level) and then removed the string on the upward cable and just shortened it and again only wedged it in. Worried about my timing now, any ideas?

  • hi m8 i have a compound bow skyhawk indian series and was wonting to no what tipe of rest do i nead as ther isant any holes exetra so im a bit lost to what i can and carnt put on it

  • do you know for sure if the rest will fit on the bow madness xs? i need a definite answer. the brace height is 7 3/8

  • does this rest fit on the PSE bow madness? i bought the QAD ultra rest hd pro series and it didnt fit on my bow..I was so pissed. What do you think is the best rest out there?

  • @lungbuster22 Sorry to here the rest wouldnt fit. The G5 should work fine with the bow. I like the Trophy Taker FC Top Slot, I think it would work for that bow also.

  • I have this same rest on my bowtech black ice and realy like it alot,I have had the bow for a little over a year now and I am scared shitless about having to adjust or tune it, I am considering a matthews reezen 7.0 in couple of weeks and was wondering if the g5 would work well w/this bow?

    Another great vid,thanks for sharing/posting.

  • Thx alot kenny i have that timing issue you are talking about, tomorrow i am going to apply that on my rest.

  • Great video... the challenge I'm having is the knot keeps slipping up after I have tied it in (super knot) and put the square knot on it. Do you split the down cable anywhere and run it through? Any suggestions?

  • You could tie a super knot just above the cord on the buss only this wouldnt let the original knot slide past it, also be sure you don't have too much pull on the cord for the rest that might be why its sliding, cause its being pulled to much.

  • would u recamend this rest for my mathews z7?

  • I just got a NAP Quick tune 360 arrow rest. Awsome Arrow Rest, holds the arrow snug, I tried a drop away rest, its not for me. I prefer something that holds the arrow, and not a whisker biscuit, those in imo ruin fletchs.

  • Thanks kenny ,great video ! Nice hog.

  • whats your oppion on a whisker biscuits?

  • im thinking about getting one of these.

how well does it hold the arrow?

Does the spindle thing wear out overr time?

    Is it quiet?

Does it effect cam timing as much as other?

can you tell me all your likes and dislikes with this rest.

    thanks. good vid

  • ok i have one i think i will get a drop away mostly because with the WS your fletching will get marked up but thats it I was a fan but im gonna switch when i overhall my bow

  • great job mate....good info..

  • finger shooters have to have a pressure arrow rest...there is a rest from NAP that are used for recurves...i can't see why you can just use the same rest from the recurve to a compound. When you shoot fingers with a regular rest...the string twists and forces the arrow in a total diferent direction. your better of buying a release and buying a regular arrow rest

  • I don't think a finger shooter would have any problems but you may have to alter the setup. Alot of the times when I test shoot a bow after installing a dropaway I use my fingers and have no troubles. Let me know if you do.

  • Nice video!I want to ask is it true that drop away rest aren't good for fingershoters?
