i am sick of hearing bullshit excuses, it was the refs fault, it was a forward pass, mcallister shouldnt have been carded. the fact of the matter is we were outplayed by a team who wanted it more on the day. i am also suck of the media and nz public putting so much pressure on the abs, what everyone seems to forget is that there are actually a lot of strong nations now, and it was never a given that we would win.
It was definitely an unexpected victory for France. Just 28 days before this match, NZ played France and beat them 40 points to 6.

there reconditioning programme definitely went to shit, in the last 15 mins some of their key players fell like flies....I couldn't believe what I was seeing, they more or less all got injured at the same time...Evans didn't even last 5mins on the field...will be hard to beat them in 2011 in NZ, but with their history in the RWC, anything can happen.
yep their reconditioning coach was an aussie. It was obvious when the AB's started late in the Super 14 and promptly got injured, that they were training incorrectly. Too many weights on muscles that required explosive stretching. I tried to personally get them proper stretching routines but to no avail. I think that mole of an aussie has kept his job too.

i am sick of hearing bullshit excuses, it was the refs fault, it was a forward pass, mcallister shouldnt have been carded. the fact of the matter is we were outplayed by a team who wanted it more on the day. i am also suck of the media and nz public putting so much pressure on the abs, what everyone seems to forget is that there are actually a lot of strong nations now, and it was never a given that we would win.

That entire year, NZ didn't lose any games from what I remember. In 2007. They also boasted TWO complete squads capable of beating any other team in the world, and proved it with the games they played.

When NZ went 13-0 up I thought it was game over but they went into their shell, they got drawn into the boring flat defensive wall of the French instead of spinning the ball out wide to their brilliant back line. New Zealand have to stop putting such pressure on themselves. Once you keep saying it's our year, you are setting yourselves up for a fall. THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD on paper and in the last four years,but no TEAM is unbeatable. NZ are not that far ahead of the likes of England, Austrailia, France, Argentina, South Africa and possibly my own county Ireland to say that it MUST be our year. The pressure they had this year was unreal. Compare to SA who didn't seem to have any.

As much as it was hard to take it was also quite fascinating if you look at it objectively.

I think we tried too hard. We built up for 4 years and with that build up came more and more pressure. I realise that professionals are supposed to handle pressure. Trying hard shouldnt be a hindrance but weve just become too PRECIOUS about the whole thing.
The world cup isnt a trophy for one team. It's a global event.

there reconditioning programme definitely went to shit, in the last 15 mins some of their key players fell like flies....I couldn't believe what I was seeing, they more or less all got injured at the same time...Evans didn't even last 5mins on the field...will be hard to beat them in 2011 in NZ, but with their history in the RWC, anything can happen.

yep their reconditioning coach was an aussie. It was obvious when the AB's started late in the Super 14 and promptly got injured, that they were training incorrectly. Too many weights on muscles that required explosive stretching. I tried to personally get them proper stretching routines but to no avail. I think that mole of an aussie has kept his job too.

Sean Fitzpatric and Zinzan Brooke were two of Rugbys biggest cheats, mate you play the game to what the ref will let you get away with.
Beaten fair and square 20-18, god knows why in the 11 minutes in the French 22 someone didn't put a drop kick over to make it 21-20 or are The All Bleeks too arrogant and precious to have done that? Word should have come from McCaw or Henry to slot the kick surely? Henry is an angry little man who likes getting his own way!

whatever they were playing offside.. the ref was to much of a cok 2 say anything.. they played the ball on the ground.. the all blacks got penalised for turning the scrum? the ref played advantage for the french for about 22 phases... he was playing advantage when luke mc kalister did take that drop kick.. but it was over when he kicked the drop goal?? Nah yous didnt watch the same game I did..
