I don't think I'd have ever thought of a Studebaker Lark being a racer, but that is definitely neat. Shame I haven't seen any of my Ramblers in any sedan racing vids...:/
I also think it's funny that the Galaxie seems to have been a more formidable road racer than the later Mustang.
The circuit layout has been altered since 1964 but Turn One (the end of the Main straight) and Turn Four ("Peter's Corner" in the video) are still the same today.

MIni Car Club NSW (Australia) released this same footage in a VHS format in the mid 90. It was in colour and from memory was dated 1965, not 1964.
There was also another long BMC serial included in this tape called MIni Monte 1964.

I work as a volunteer official at Sandown Park.
