are those clip draws comfortable and do they hold the firearm snugly?I'm in law enforcement and carry a glock 30 off duty thinkin about maybe getting a clip draw thanks for the vid, i trust both glocks with my life never failed me yet.
30 definitely looks much more beefier than the 27. The one thing that people do wrong is buy a gun because of its size. I'm 5'10", 170lbs and I wear Medium clothing...nothing baggy and yet I carry a Glock 19 which is bigger than both 30 and 27. It's a difference in size but you get a bigger bang from the 30. Just remember, before buying you must try it. Remember that the only thing you'll have to conceal is the actual grip and always dress to carry.
Thanks for posting this video! I have been trying to compare the sizes of these two (not just by numbers) this video is so helpful, along with your description, I think I'm going to go for the 26 or 27 now forsure.
Thanks for the video man. I was really debating between the two much like you were and this video really shows how much of a difference there is. Going with the 27 for my CCW
i just unloaded 200 rounds of .45 acp today out my 30 and like usual no failure to feed, jams or any problems, its a good feeling knowing if you ever pull the trigger its gonna fire
I wouldn't go IWB with either. To much steel. IWB is for Ruger LCR, Kept PF9s, J frame Revolver....so on and so fourth. Atleast in tearms of comfort. But, if you want that steel stuffed in your pants, then more power to you.
It took me some time to get my 27. I was comparing a 45 cal glock 36 to the 27. I did not want to stock two types of ammo as I already owned a 1911/45 cal. But I got the 27 cuz it was the smallest and best for concealment. The energy of the fast moving 40 cal is the same as the heavy 45 cal moving slower. I love the simple glock 27, more than my heavy complex 1911. Glock 27 is easier to aim and shoot too. Very accurate. Very simple.
I notice your glocks have those clips on the side. I own a G21 sf and it doesnt have one of those clips, is it possible to buy one for it...Im guessing the clilp is so the gun can be worn down your pants, is this correct.
I have the glock 30sf and carry it concealed. I will admit that its bulky but I have a Crossbreed holster which makes it really comfortable, hardly know I'm wearing it.
The 30 SF is even thinner than the standard 30, but your ammo capacity is also cut in half. The 27 has nine rounds of .40 ready to send down the pipe as fast as you can pull the trigger which is only one round less than the 30, but almost half the size... I like options...
Just curious, but I just purchased a Glock 30 SF and it has a 10 round flush mag, isn't the 36 the "real" Slim Frame with only 6 rounds single stack? Just curious of your thoughts...
Yes, the 36 is the 6 rounder but it is only thinner than the 30 not smaller. The 27 is my favorite for ccw, as you still have 9 rounds, but half the size of the 30.
@thecrags yep, commented over 4 months ago, a lot more knowledgeable now... and found out that the 9 round mag is truly the flush mount, the 10 has a piece that still sticks out... Like the 9 round better in the G30
I miss my G30, but I was offered a price I couldn't refuse. I have a G27 now. Nice vid. What grip is that on the 30? do you like it? Where did you buy those clips?
Never a problem. The way the clips are made, they stand out away from the chamber indicator forward curving back to the slide in front of the cutout. They are solid, well made and ideal for a no bulk CCW accessory...
Nothing better for the Glocks, Seems like they have better tension/length to them than the universal kits for other pistols. With the glocks, I dont even notice that there not in a full holster, and I sure dont miss the bulk of a holster. Plus on the Glocks, it takes about 5 seconds to swap the clip from side to side depending on carry method. One day I might wear it in waist band, the next outer waist band. I like easy options...
@argonnj To each his own... I use one everyday. If some one is better protected by use of a product in terms of faster access/more comfort when their weapon is needed that makes it a win in my book. Who are you to make a comment like that?
@Hardtailxxx Someone who has been shooting for over 20 years and has done a lot of CCW. Clip draw is a dangerous gimmick. There are plenty of kydex holsters out there that will give you the nothing there feeling of the clip draw without the danger.
How does the clipdraw perform for you? I have just put one on my Makarov and am trying to get used to it. Do you find that you have to repostition your pistol throughout the day when using the clipdraw?

@argonnj Have you ever used a clip draw? If not shut your big mouth. I bet you don't even own a Glock. Go suck your thumb somewhere else.
