  • Yes! USA is fat. I've seen 2 stops on the same block (McKee high school S52/S42 st marks pl ) and I've seen people ride the bus to 1-4 stops! In SI it ok because no crowded and no fare inspections!

Mexico, on the other side, is not fat. They'll walk 2 miles instead of taking the subway 5 stops or a bus 12 stops. It ain't cuz they poor it scince fares are 3 pesos (25 cent)

  • I got a freaking ticket for $100 and I payed half fare because I did not have 2.25 i only had 1.10 so i get a ticket for paying half fare for this service and I am a college student, can't college students get a break. OMG!

  • @NewPSCity Dude, you farebeated. The $2.25 fare is for students older then 12th grade. Under 12th grade you get a student card, but not as a college student. If you didn't have 2.25, then go walk your damn way there. Americans are fat these days anyways (and yes I am American. I live in NYC, and no, I do not go chugging to McD everyday to eat tehre. I actually eat healthy)

  • @bvestationfan LOL i am from NYC. I did not have any money on me and I live far away. I only had $1.10 exactly on me. At least i payed these greedy bastards :)

  • The bus operators on the M15 Local do not accept proof-of-payment receipts and will always insist on using MetroCards in the farebox.

  • @AvmanM

Still? I thought that M15 local bus operators were supposed to accept the receipts. Anyone that doesn't is making a mistake, I think...

  • this system only works on honesty cuz mos people hop in from the back

  • Nice looking bus... but waste of fuckin' taxpayers dollars on those machines... some cunt's going to stick a bubblegum on those machines or spit on the keypad and we won't be able to use them... Our politicians should know that this is USA... we don't have fuckin' manners like lets say...ummm... Oh! Yea... the Europeans...

  • @TheEsotericDesi ahahah well for the record... I'm Italian and I dont see people here to be so polite!

But yeah you're right when you're referring to Germans and English people. Well this can work for all Northern Europe. But believe me... I've always thought you guys had manners! I mean... sure your population is a mosaic of cultures, so that's tough to manage! Dont you think so?

  • @Heavnick7 It's tough to manage because there's no effort to change public behavior in US to begin w/...

  • @TheEsotericDesi Sure I understand... by the way, are you from NYC?

  • @Heavnick7 Yes, in NYC :)

  • @TheEsotericDesi I'm always looking for people from NYC. I really would like to talk with you. I know it sounds weird. But I felt in love with the city many years ago. I know lot of things about the place... I was so damn focused about it, I finally reached my dream in Oct 2010 when I came to New York City.

Are you interested in having this kinda conversations? Sure we can talk about anything... i'm so curious about your country and everything! I hope this doesnt bother you...

  • Took the SBS15 twice already, the line is noticeably faster! Love It!

  • cool

  • Wouldn't it make more sense to do this on cross-town routes, like they do in the Bronx with the Bx12, where there's less parallel subway service?

  • Time to do this for the M14A and M14D.. those buses are hell during rush hour

  • @bvestationfan Weren't artery crosstown busses supposed to have all their fare collection removed as stipulated by Mayor Bloomberg for his election.

  • now only if they did SBS service for long island.

  • @KimichiSu never happen lol this will be the 2nd bus to get them

  • Once upon a time NYC had dedicated lanes for transit. They were trolleys. It seems like the city is reaching back into the past. Some boneheaded politicians decided that trolleys were bad and that buses were the way to go. So they paved over the tracks and bought in buses which belched out pollution. Way to go. I hope those responsible don't rest in their graves.

  • @adelgado75 LOL! Well said... LOL!

  • @adelgado75 LOL! Well said... LOL!

  • yea i know for some reason ppl in Manhattan dont know about this sbs and the bronx had it already for years now and we love it works fine here i use is all the time but just like we all know ppl dont travel to the bronx, so they think this is the first time the MTA done this and its old news now for ppl in the bronx you should see how lost they are

  • I bet lots of people NEVER heard of the Bx12+SBS which has been here since 2008 smh.

  • @bebo2good1 people who read transit blogs do!

  • @herenthere Just transit blogs? Umm the MTA website is up 24/7 bro

  • Can you use an unlimited monthly metrocard to pay the fare for the SBS?

  • @JeffOrnstein01 Yes.

  • Very nice, and useful to this regular user of the M15. However, I had trouble understanding the narrator in places because he was talking too fast, mumbling pver words and "strangling" the ends of sentences. It would be more helpful if the MTA could get a narrator who speaks clearly with good diction (listen to the announcers of WQXR radio as examples of beautiful diction).

  • @wmflee

I think the narrator was kind of underperforming as well.

  • i made an M15 bus on a cartbus hahaha

  • nice
