I agree, a forgotten classic. Its sad but i think many of these old Japanese cars will be scrapped unfairly. I used to see many 240K's around in Australia, but now absolutely none. Its a shame cause there great cars.

I have a 76 violet too,but thats a 4-door sedan with 1400 engine(140J)rusted as hell,but it has an original rev counter!

If you ever end up selling the rev counter, please let me know. I would like to learn that you are restoring your 140J, but if ever selling it, please sell me the Rev counter/tachometer. Cheers.

Its a real rust bucket,but most of it is on the channels behind the front wheels and on the adjacent floor.(you can actually see into the car,gaping holes)The rest of it is not that bad,so once I get my hands on a welding apparatus,I will use it for practice.And perhaps one day the phoenix will rise...In the mean time,I have my '76 160 B,'83 Kingcab pickup,'68 BMW 1800,'64 Hillman Husky and '48 grey Fergie to play with..In case I scrap the 140J,we'll have to find a way to post and pay then..
