I used FRAPS to video capture @ 1920X1200 resolution. Then I used Windows Movie Maker to publish in Windows Media 1080p HD for uploading to YouTube. When using this method I must publish the video in segments not exceeding 300mb then I combine the segments together for final publishing. Then if I add a soundtrack I do it at this stage. I used ver. 2.9.5, FRAPS has a more recent update that I think fixes some of the issues that I have had to deal with in making my vids but I haven't tried it yet.
I know it is very unconventional not to do so, but I find it to be distracting, I tend to rely on my own sense of timing. I doubt anyone else out there uses the gun cross only, NAV mode, but that's just me.
