  • Nice video, Looks like a difficult landing!

  • good video as usual! that's a good crosswind landing! and great FMC u got there, its not cheap to own one, i still didn't have mine yet...

  • good landing .

  • Nice!

  • is it fs9?

  • how much these simulator? hahahaa

  • i dont understand why do you disengage the autopilot?

  • @evald80 because in good weather conditions (good visivility) you dont need to have the autopilot on

  • wow That was cool

  • nice work Lespindo2 nice work u are captain by 747 in real ? or not ?

  • Hey, not bad...not bad! Which Yoke are u useing?

    Regards from Germany

  • Love your videos mate. Hope you working on some new ones. Cheers

  • nice job ;)

  • wow big screen!!!!

  • great approach

  • Superb landing! Great vid.

  • @Appleshaz catagory 3 ils approach, there is catgoray 1 2 3 and whatever is after that it all depends on the weather.

  • Are you using a Vista ? and also, did you ever incounter mantaining cruising problems with pitching up and down ??

  • good video ,i like it.

  • are you a real pilot?

  • Auto land

  • I swear at first I though that was David Hasslehoff!

  • @coldandfrostymorning i thought the same thing!!!

  • @coldandfrostymorning same hahaha

  • thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello. i need someone to answer me 2 quetions.... 1) Where do you download charts? 2)Do you know how to know the ETA (estimate time of arrival)? thanks!!!!!!

  • 1) you can download charts from freeware sim sites such as flightsim or avsim, or use vroute 2) ETA if you press the "DATA" button on the EFIS control it will show you, and also if you chek on the FMC on the LEGS page then RTE DATA will give you an ETA

  • why do you use the CH yoke? Get the Saitek or some GoFlight Modules!

  • Nice video's, how much inch is your monitor?

  • Comment removed

  • nice set , but still don´t know how ppl actually live(sim life) without TrackIR and virtual cockpit

  • just because thats your setup, doesnt mean everyone else has to use it, but saying that im getting an TrackIR this xmas ;)

  • AHAHAHAHAHA relax mate i was just saying , cuz for me the 3-d cockpit have 100 times better sight and the sensation too, combine that with trackIR and you´ll be there in the sky ... can you please ask santa if he can bring one more for me??? my daughter just washed minne with soap and water(what a cuttie han?!) have you ever heard the expression: "kids are just like farts you only can take the one witch belongs to you"???

i think i shit my pant in that case

  • ok i agree

  • you are a real pilot?

  • You learn something every day!

  • Can you use a FMC aircraft when flying routes under FSX ATC?

  • Just as long as you enter the route from the default flight planner.. If you go out and find a real world route you cannot use default ATC. I stopped using the default ATC a LOOOONNNNGGG time ago. I fly on VATSIM now. :)

  • i used the same yoke, but instead of needing to use the mouse to disable the auto throttle, i assigned the right yoke button for the a/t. that gave me full concentration on the landing instead of finding the mouse and the a/t switch on the screen, try it! by the way cool CDU, it costs a bomb i know.

  • If you check the charts you will see that it is Honolulu, see video # 1

  • Dang Nice setup.

What inch is your mon or tv? And where did you get that FMC outside and cost? Nice video!

  • St Maarten doesnt have ILS

  • papaunicornio, you are in the wrong part of the world!!!!!......This is Honolulu, Hawaii....

  • i know its honolulu! hahaha i was saying that st maarten doesnt have ils thats why it cant be st maarten ;)

  • hahahahaha

  • @papaunicornio dumb ass!

  • jaaa yeaaah!! your great!! thats a Simulator! i like it men!, Come to visit my videos if you like!!

    Greetings!

  • excellent. muy bueno!

  • Landing 2d wtf?!?

  • yeah, i always fly VC, alsi in cruise. much more realistic to pan around, isn;t it?

  • Hell yes it is, im planning on getting rid of the FMC on my PMDG 747 ive tried everything to try my best to learn and it wont sink in so im gonna have a go at smashing the default gps it will make life so much easier.

  • Learning the FMC is really easy. You just need to open the manual and make a few practice runs. The default GPS is pretty much a total useless component. The biggest problem is that the AIRAC is not even remotely up-to-date (updated once per month). And FMC can do a lot more than just direct-to waypoint. Not very realistic with a default GPS.

  • I take your point on board, but learning to use the FMC seems pretty much impossible as i have watched the same tutorial over and over again and it wont sink into me unfortunately, i mean all i want to do is take off and land at my destination i dont want to enter sid stars, waypoints my fuel level i just want to get there without all the fuss.

  • Well... that had to be a bad tutorial then. In my case, my friend talked me thru a couple of times. Don't want to fly a 747 without it again. :) I could help you with the FMC if you want. Failure only comes when you give up.

  • It was hard for me too, until i saw youtube video of

"PMDG FMC TUTORIAL" by WTurbiasz I got the hang of it and Now im printing more charts then never and manually inputting them onto the FMC for realism :D Thanks to WTurbiasz

  • nice videos, how can i calculate my weight ?

to take off from quito ecuador in a 747-400?

  • refer to your PMDG manual, they contain all needed information to calculation Required Fuel, take off flap settings/ speeds , etc. etc.

  • Gah, I can't stand landing 2D. No flare either, but otherwise awesome video.

  • damn! u do a lot of stuff! i just do simple stuff.. nice video though

  • Wow. Very interesting! Is that a simulator FMC down below?

  • Yes, the Fly engravity FMC/CDU

  • Nice video!! Thanks!

May it be possible that your fire detector's battery is empty ;-) ?!

  • i fly fs like you do rarely use fmc istead use charts and maps! old school ; )

  • nice

That was good, you did the approach right to the dot. Well done and a very informative video, thanx for uploading.

  • Was talking about ILS approach which is completely different from autoland. Autoland and ILS approach are not the same thing.

  • you have to be on an ILS for autoland to work

  • That's what being established on the localizer means. As I said before...ILS approach and autoland are two different things.

  • a localizer alone is not an ILS... ILS has to also have glideslope. so if ur just on the localizer and expect autoland to work ur wrong

  • rgj41086, you can fly a VNAV descent, approach and landing all in auto mode...

  • yeah... i never said it wouldnt. i was talking about what it uses for guidance. the autopilot will be following the ILS (loc and gs) for guidance on the approach, then closer to the ground it uses radio altimeter to determine when to flare then on the rollout it uses localizer to maintain centerline

  • can you pls tell me where i can learn the VOR, ILS in general the IFR.

  • some website probably explains it. or an instructional video from somwhere like sportys. com will probably be easier to understand. or just go out and get your instrument rating! :)

  • Here's a decent calculation I found online which tells you when to start decent to destination.

    Current Altitude minus Airport Elevation

    Divide result by 1,000

Multiply by 3 = # of miles required to decend to destination.

Remember to leave yourself a 10nm approach buffer. Add 10nm to the final result and you should be ok.

  • Once established on the localizer, about 10nm out , you can press the APP and switch to NAV and the plane will land on the runway. You control speed and flaps, landing gear. No need to fly by hand this way.

  • if its the default flight sim model, you do need to disengage right before touchdown. If you dont you will get a descent rate of like -1000f/m, because it does not have full autoland.

  • it's not, it's the PMDG 747-400.

  • awesome vid my friend, what do you use for ur CDU?

  • Hi nabeel4567, I have the( flyengravity ) FMC/CDU....expensive but it's wonderful

  • Very nice job Luis, I see you know what are you doing, except one little thing, why do you move the rudder so much during the final approach, when the plane is established on the localizer even if there is crosswind, it will be better to let it just dissent without touching the rudder to 100 fit, and once at 100 fit, you will touch little bit the rudder just to land it straight. Of course you can use rudder during the final approach, but it will be better for you to use rudder pedals.

  • Hi 636555530. Tnanks for your comment. If you take a closer look @ the approach you will see that @ 1000' the A/P was disconected. The only way to the runway is by flying it by hand using Joke and Rudder, and keeping the Localizer dead center, that's what I did...

  • Very nice!

  • Nice video mate, i'm just considering whether to buy a desktop PC in addition to my apple for my bedroom to put to my 26" LG TV. I was just wondering, doesn't having a TV not a monitor made for close range viewing hurt your eyes?

  • that's FSX??

  • No...! PMDG on FS9

  • Cool as hell :D:D

  • Nice video; loving that huge monitor too. Also, where did you by the CDU for that PMDG?

  • Thanks it's a 42", the FMC/CDU is from Flyengravity.

  • hi very good video! where can i find the flight plan and the aircraft, please?

  • you can download the approach charts from (My airplane)and the aircraft from PMDG.

  • y cant he use the vc???

  • Not for Instrument flying....! sorry...

  • Can you please send me the flight plan i would love to do this flight.

  • I have something wrong with the PMDG 747 ILS on approach. What happens is, it intercepts the localizer but doesn't line up fully no matter how early i get established. It does follow the glide slope perfectly though. What's wrong? Even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It's definately not my FSX installation because I have FSX on my laptop too and it does the same thing.

  • Hi my friend I think your problem is not the PMDG 747-400, you need to download the MAGDEG,2005 file ( magnetic deviation ) and also you need to update your FMC every month...

  • Wow, great videos! Are you a real pilot? You do everything in such a pro way!

  • Nice aprouch And thanks alot for the videos you put out. They`r been very helpful for a FS rookie like me.

For every video by you I see I understand some more pieces of the aviation "mysteri".

I havn`t spent so much time yet flying 737 or other big jets for the moment cause I wanna take it slowly bit by bit. I do have a some time on Learjet thouh and love that machine.

But most of the time its Chesna and Piper Cherokie I fly.

    Per Berge. Norway.

  • dude can u tell me where u can print does papers in ur hand plz reply ?

  • If you're looking for USA airports charts try those sites :flightaware com or 3w aeroplanner com

  • no man looking for europe charts

  • Ok so there's a better way if u're interested! check out 3w navigraph com and download the nDAC software! it's gives you for free all charts of 3 airports of your choice! then after you must buy credits online to download other airports' charts ...try it out

  • dude thks for finding out for me great thx

  • You're welcome :)

  • Nothing is perfect than this landing the exactly way I love!!!

  • Thank You..!

  • You flew the dme arc perfectly¡¡¡¡¡,I have a problem in maintaining the distance,do you have a tip for me???

  • Hi Capitan caballero please send me your Email so that I can send you a nice DME ARC Tutorial..

  • excellent flight simming sir! =)

  • Thank You...!

  • Good video!!!

    lol

  • Si Señor.....!

  • Congratulations. Great. Let me ask you sth: few second after landing i get a message on FMC saying "fuel disagree prog 2, showing that the calculated fuel and the totalizer fuel qantity are different. Why it happens? it has happened to you?

  • very good video, brilliant explanations aswell

  • What's the size of your screen?

  • Hi jetsetunited, I have a Vizio LCD HD, 42" you get real life size 8" PFD, 8" ND, etc.etc.

  • very22 good

  • that is a big ass computer screen! lol

  • lol, indeed!

  • I loved the video... Great flying and great setup you got there!

  • Thanks!!

  • when do you press the localizer button and are you a real airline pilot

  • never mind i made a mistake never mind

  • Very nice very good app congratulations !!!

  • Thank you!

  • if i wanted to do a flight from lets say singapor to los angles how would you find or where would you the legs or sids for that route.

  • supernic3 :PP gG

  • ???????????????????

  • nice.. where do u get the charts ?

  • I download my charts from "My airplane" for the USA... VATSIM for the rest of the world. Jeppesen is great too...

  • nice.. r u a real pilot?

  • hey great vid=) i have this same aircraft amazing but my radio altitude callouts will star at 1000 but it wont go any lower. another thing that i love about this aircraft is how realitic it is to land and all the alarms and such

Computer Desk That has the desk and Keyboard drawer..Ok??

  • Answer me one thing dude. You control your right turn on the arc only by keeping your distance to the Honolulu VOR on 14? You Don't use other thinhgs to keep you on the track?

  • Hi Gustavo My name is Luis.

This is the way you fly a DME Arc Instrument Raw Data. If you are flying the 14 DME, you need to Fly the 14.5 DME so that you will be able to correct for wind.. You could also program the FMC,( Flight management Computer ) and the FMC will fly the arc for you.. Please watch my other instrument videos.

  • Thanks Luis, but not all my airplanes have FMC, so i will have to do that by myself...

Thank you very much for your answer and, sure, i will see all of your videos...

  • very nice DME arc yeeee

  • Thank You!!

    Muchas Gracias!!!

  • are you an actual piolt

  • I am a Flight simulator Captain.....

  • you should really try to become one you would be good

  • Thank You!!

  • Nice job

  • did you use max autobrake?
