Oh my god. Poor Buffy... What season was this? It had to have been after Season 3 because that is only how far I've gotten. I am all teary up writing this...
now i dont usually cry when i see something emotional on tv or film(except the ending of toy story 3 :P), but when anya makes her speech, it always makes me cry :( its only cus she doesnt understand :'(
The saddest part of "The Body" was Anya. I'm sorry to say it but that's damn sad!!
"I was having fruit punch and I thought, 'Well, Joyce will never have anymore fruit punch. Ever. And she'll never have eggs, or yawn, or brush her hair. Not ever and no one will explain to me why!"
D': You can't tell me you've seen "The Body" and didn't cry at that part, c'mon! :D
Sarah Michelle Gellar, outstanding performance. At least after buffy died, she discovered heaven did exist, and maybe her mother was there. That's a nice notion.
The thing about this episode that I love is that it's so real. I loved that there was no bacground music since that's how it is in real life.
When I watch a tv show I don't really notice the music till it's gone. It's like that when somone dies. You miss things you never really noticed was there.
the reason this episode was so good, was because joss decided to use no music. Buffy always got praise for it's score, but this episode had no music. So moving.
I cried so hard :( I think SMG is a very very good actrice, I also think that anya was a very good actress too, she could be so funny and sad at the same time.
I love this video, and how you were able to pack all the emotion from the episode into the short amount of time. and pairing it with the Buffy/Angel theme is amazing, the music makes me get teary eyed on its own, but with the photos and dialogue I am left with tears running down my face
Go for it. "The Body" is the episode that really turned me on to Joss's work, especially Buffy. My father had died not long before that episode aired, and I think they handled the situation very well in the series. I hadn't really watched it much, so I bought all of the previous years on DVD and I couldn't be happier.
I think I'll pop in season one and start from scratch again. :)
wow thats sad and its true you dont know wats gone untile its gone for real i mean i have faced a lot of deaths in my life and for the hardest one for me was that i didnt even get to say goodbye to them i just left to go to school get home and he's gone for ever
Ohhhhh geeze, I cannot watch that episode mostly due to this scene I break out into tears EVERYTIME I watch this video and you have done a wonderfull job with this video great job doing this Poor Buffy I felt so sorry for her I hope I can make a meaningfull video for Buffy like this well done and breath taking five stars...
Hey, it was a great video, sad but great. one question though. im not sure whether its because i only ever watched this episode on t.v and they cut it out or whether its diffirent on dvd or whether i just missed something all together, but i havent seen the bit with Giles in the room before, or the bit where buffy says joyce is cold. Does anyone know why? Great video!
Just a thought - the thing that was most powerful about this episode and really made it mind-blowing was how they used absolutely no music throughout the whole thing.
This is reasonably well put together, but to me it seems to miss the point a little? Just my opinion.
So glad I can flip through T.V. and not see this shit on anymore. But now I flip through youtube and it's back! DEAR GOD!! It's not on T.V. anymore for a reason, it sucked, so why upload it here? This is not;
LOL, Oooooooo burn good one wickedwillow and shadowofblood if you hate the show so much don't watch any videos dedicated to it this just proves your an idiot...
but the only good thing is that they did not let her die by glory or something otherworldly and that she died a natural death i thing that is why this is so hard to accept her death to all the buffy fans out there
that was great..it gave me the chills and not too many youtube videos do. Especially when it's just a bunch of pictures with some music and voice. 5/5
It's called "Close Your Eyes (Buffy/Angel Love Theme)" and it's composed by Christophe Beck. It's included on the Buffy soundtrack. (The original one, not Radio Sunnydale.)
This is an awesome video. One of my favorite parts in that episode was Anyas speech. Manly cause she doesn't show much emotion, and she does and she did a great job with it:)
