  • Damn, he didn't even look like himself in that clip.

  • r.i.p my idol

  • Rest In Peace Champ

  • r.i.p

  • The late great Arturo Gatti. The warrior who never gave up.

  • I was at this fight and remember when he stormed out of the ring after the fight was stopped, his psycho girlfriend ran up to him and he pushed her away. I could since the tension between them.

    Kelvin King

  • He`s Canadian.

  • @CamericaUSA hes actually italian, born in montreal, and moved to jersey city new jersey when he was about 17

  • @LukeAst01 Wrong he was born in Italy ....raised in Montreal.

  • Is the woman there his wife that is supposed to have killed him?

Cool to see Micky Ward there as I just saw "The Fighter" a little while ago, and that is why I started looking up all these videos. RIP Gatti.

  • @JaveDMode ....Yep! that's her. I know a crazy bitch when I see one.

  • man he loooked old r.i.p champ

  • would've been nice if he could've lived forever

  • every time i watch a video with Gatti a tear goes down my face.. a true warrior!! didnt care about his legacy he just wanted to give his fans a great fight win or lose

  • i hope that whore of a wife that gatti had burns in hell if she had anything to do with gattis death

  • i hope that wore of a wife that gatti had burns in hell if she had anything to do with gattis death

  • Arturo Gatti. you are a boxing legend, and your memory will last forever!!!

  • love you arturo what a man!!!!!

  • that bitch fucking killed him...

  • Balls fuckin' balls ,fortitude, guts, heart think of any adjective along those lines and your describing Arturo. R.I.P. Brother you wont be forgotten!!!

  • Hes the reason I started fighting

  • God I hate Max Kellerman.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot dam straight, i thought Arturo had pretty good boxing ability he just chose to brawl and max was always saying hes not good hes just exciting, anyone who is a two time world champ cant be that bad

  • hey listen up. arturo was wacked. no fucking way a warrior like this commited suicide.

  • im confused how come he couldnt make 140 again, and how come he cant fight at 147

  • @PortOrangeGuy He could'nt diet down to 140 without weakening himself too much to effect his performance, yet at the same time he could'nt be as strong as naturally bigger guys are at 147.

It happens to boxers as they age just like most people they tend to put on weight. You do realise that most fighters are not walking around at fighting weight? They diet and dehydrate themselves to make the weigh in then quickly put on an extra 10+lbs before the fight. This gets harder to do as you get older.

  • @garibaldi54 : exactly!!! :)

  • Funny hearing Gatti and Cintron in the same sentence. Arturo wouldnt have jumped out of the ring against Williams.

  • if i can generate 1/4 of the excitment that gatti did during his fights, then i'll be happy

  • This guy was my favorite boxer....Suicide...I just don't see it....

  • Thats Bullshit man I saw the real sports shit on hbo man gatti did not commit suicide.

    RIP Arturo Gatti!!!!!!!!!

  • No way he committed suicide, NO FUCKING WAY. Just saw the Real Sports episode and No Way did Arturo did himself in. RIP Arturo.

  • You always did your best Arturo. We Miss Ya. Boxing lost a son.

  • gatti get wicked KO.

  • A proper fighter. Miss him like fuck. RIP Arturo, your are a legend for your heart alone, no doubt about it.

    Much love

  • I believe Gatti was lost and depressed since retirement. It was all over his face during this interview. Considering the circumstances surrounding his death, not sure if he would take his life over it though.

  • It sux how women can push any man to tha limit, only god will know if he was set up,he was one of my idols, gatti u will be missed.

  • @governer209 What happened? I know gatti died but what exactly ahppened

  • @governer209 The catholic rome empire justice global system = shit did this to Brazil mate. The catholic system just collect without paying tax and bringing these Violence for us in Brazil mate!

  • @governer209 you mentioned God in your commit yet the bible says you should have no idols but me the lord God.

  • at 2;11 was that his bicth wife that killed him

  • It pisses me of that she seem to get away with it. I just can't see him hanging himself on his heoneymoon with his one year old child with him. She looks like a bitch to.

  • Arturo, you were the greatest, brother, rest in peace, you are a saint viva italia. viva il memori di arturo gatti!!!

  • end the nonsense... atruro gatti is only one thing... arturo gatti.. not overrated underrated siderated back rated... whatever... hes one and only... you couldnt daydream a more dramatic career...

  • Gatti sounds a little like Tony Montana lol R.I.P

  • Someone please let me know when this guy provides some facts. He's wasting my time and he knows it. He don't cuz' he's posting under a false identity. That allows free reign on stupidity.

  • Note to everyone out there: I don't have to say a single word do I...? : )

    LOL!!!

  • Yeah, well first of all he's Italian.

So second of all, where's the proof? I mean, if you're gonna lay down a claim intended to be the end-all of things, you have to make sure you kinda follow through with the other part of it. But I know that half there requires a lot more effort; more work. Quality shit, though. Man if it were as easy as just doing the first part, there'd be a whole exponential upgrade of intelligence on Earth.

You'd be one smart motherf*cker, best believe...

  • "Yeah, well first of all he's Italian."

    And your point is? LMAO.

  • That he's not fucking white. Dude, is that what you're gonna come back at me with? FUCK. I was expecting a little bit more than that...But not too much more, I can confidently say.

Uh, I can say I'm not surprised, but did you read that fuckin' second paragraph? The first sentence? THAT was my point. But I guess everything relies on that first part. Yeah that second part, providing facts and shit , is an effort, I must say. You're said it, tho. I only want some facts re: Gatti being overrated.

  • WHAT? Italians are WHITE you uneducated fucking retard. They're Caucasian with tans you fuckin' dumb bitch. You don't know anything. Italians hate brothers you fuckin' sell out motherfucker.

  • Hey, I'm onto you. I know what you're doing. I suspected already. You're posting this kinda shit under Barack's name to soil it. I KNOW this, man. And YOU know it. You're a fuckin' phony dude. This is the way you spend your life? FUCK! And, no, I didn't vote for him. Pathetic, man.

    Pathetic.

Let's go ahead hear some denial...

  • Hey, I'm onto you. I know what you're doing. I suspected already. You're posting this kinda shit to take attention away from your boxing knowledge.

Gatti was overrated. End of story. I'm not hating on the man, but he was overrated, plain and simple.

  • @nportillo73 Mayweather is ovrated dumbass. Gatti is over rated what kind of shit are you smoking kid

  • Comment removed

  • @theladysmanbby Yeah I replied to your messages which I think you never received cuz I think blocked me from responding but you spent a lot of wasted time berating me on how much of a piece of shit I was for saying Gatti was overrated. Look back a page or two and you'll see me defending Gatti against someone saying Gatti was overrated. Mayweather is not overrated either,

  • @nportillo73 OOO i thought you said gatti was overated i was going to let your ass have my man, no for some reason i havent been able to send any message to anyone i am shock you got mine but i didnt get yours and no you are not block i check it like three times, Mayweather i soo overated you have to be blind or dumb not to see it everyone knows the good guy/badguy shit is getting fucking old dude

  • @theladysmanbby I just saw what your problem was/is. It's called punctuation. Next time say it like this: "Gatti is overrated? What kind of shit are smoking kid?" You see the difference. Now don't fuck with me again.

  • Comment removed

  • @theladysmanbby n fact, I remember that's why I erased my comments cuz I saw your errors, and the misinterpretation I realized I gleaned from that. I wasn't "running" as you laughably interpreted my actions to be.

  • no one says he was a great boxer. he was a fighter who had the willpower of a lion. gived everything to his fans.

  • Gatti is the best fighter in this modern day life losing is a big part of sports its how you come back from it counts and that what makes Gatti as one of the greatest.Ray Roberson was put down by a no body is he the greatest yes Gattti? Hell ya

  • Check out my Gatti Highlight Videos! Gatti us the man

  • 1 of the best of all time no way. 1 of the most entertaining yes. HOF quality no. he will b remembered as a warrior. 1 of the greatest no where near the top

  • i agree

  • HOF quality you bet your ass he is man what are you crazy or something? do you even know boxing son i grew up watching the greats and Gatti is up there believe that

  • Sugar Ray Robinson was the best pound for pound boxer of all time in my opinion...but gatti was definitely up there

  • THUNDER

  • he and m ward were two great professionals

    act like role models

not like some today who play a shit game

  • you really got the point,in this ugly and corrupted world gatti and ward should be an example.

  • Losing to Ward, Robinson x2, Manfredy, does not make you a great fighter. A great warrior? Yes..

  • it doesnt matter if he lost against them , every boxer eventually loses look at julio cesar chavez the best boxer next to ali lost some fights but hes stiil a great fighter.

  • ALI WAsNT THE GREATEsT JULIO CEsAR WAs I MEAN LOOK AT HOW MANY FIGHTs JCC WENT UNDEFEATED , AND NEVER WAs A CONTROVERsIAL WIN

  • thats not true joe calzaghe retired undefeated!!

  • th kid meant the greats joe calzaghe wouldnt go down as a great. i havent seen a fight that i was shock or aww in. i think he should of kept fighting before retireing sorry is joe your fighter but his ass need to come out of retirement and fight someone who would really make his use his skills

  • no gatti was a great warrior no a great boxer he wouldnt go down in the topn 100 p4p but he probably has more respect from people than 90 of the top 100 and chavez lost to de la hoya not gomez or manfredy lol

  • no the kid right great fighter ok one of the best

  • woo woo Robinson was great boxer he had talent kid watch your mouth before you speak it not the lost man your talking like floyd may weather what is wrong with theses kids today son go watch some old time fighters then you get the picture

  • Gatti was the last of a certain ilk of fighter.

  • great man

  • Arturo will always be in my book one of the greatest fighters ever. He is truly an inspiration to fighters and real people everywhere. he's the prime example that "grit and determination can accomplish anything". God Bless Arturo and hope to see him in the Boxing Hall Of Fame soon.

  • his girl is hot!!

  • thank you arturo, we will miss you

  • jacobjohnp your a dipshit Gatti did more for boxing then most so called great fighter the only disgrace is you saying something like that you learn some boxing history dipshit

  • Thanks for the Memories Mr.Thunder

  • Gatti is a legend. Fought like a lion. He always gave his all and fought to entertain.

More than we can say for alot of todays fighters.

  • A man who kept boxing alive...he gave himself to the fans and in return he deserves the hall of fame

  • I would've loved to see a pacquiao gatti fight but gatti, you've done the right decision and thank you for giving us something to lift us up in times when we are down. You're name should've been ARTURO 'THE LION HEART' Gatti for you truely have a True Warrior's heart. Thanx again and in whatever you do, keep fighting.

  • the mann.not the best boxer. but the biggest heart and most exciting fighter ever. he needed to retire or he would have some serious problems when he gets older from taking so many hits to the head, if he doesnt already have problems.

  • A true champ!!! its good that he retires now and not to late....thanks arturo!!!

  • Legend boxer , future hall of famer

  • A throwback. Will be missed.

  • One of the classiest boxers INSIDE the ropes. I don't give a damn what people say about his behavior outside the ropes, he fought like an all time great inside them. Thank you, Arturo.

  • i love you gatti

  • arturo gatti....he is a great inspiration!!!

  • gatti one of my favorites boxer ever, great heart just like mexicans, respect for ward as well...

  • arturo is one of those fighters who fought his heart out. and that causes your body to have less fights for those that undrstand.

he was great not good, but great.

who knows he might come back and surprise us, but all i know is he's one of the few that kept boxing alive during the 90's

    GO GATTI!!!!

  • ain't Wikipedia great!? Anyway there's more at Wiki. Love him no matter where he comes from.

  • He began boxing professionally on the night of June 10, 1991, with a third round knockout of Jose Gonzalez in Secaucus. His next fight, on March 23, 1993, was his first fight abroad, where he visited Amsterdam and knocked out Plawen Goutchev in round one.

1994 was a year when Gatti stepped up his quality of opposition. He started by beating Leon Bostic, and followed through with a win over Pete Taliaferro to win the USBA super featherweight title, by a knockout in round one.

  • Gatti was like an old timer fighter he fought like the greats why think everyone loved him bc old timer boxer would fight and fight he is the best bc he fought like a true boxer nothing to lose but much to gain i bet if boxer fought like him boxing wont be always boring

  • Awsome fighter!Incredible heart and staminia!!! Met him at the Theater Night club in Ft Laudedale mid or late 90s while competing at a toughman competition. At the time he was training for a fight with Tracy Patterson. He was with a few other guys from his camp one I beleive was his brother. They were true class acts even inviting me to their cubicle and offering me champane after my fight.

  • I wish it was Larry Merchant instead of Kellerman that was doing this final Gatti interview.

  • there will only be 1 gatti :) god bless champ

  • Just a class act! Oh Canada!!

  • he was born there but he became a boxer in Jersey City NJ.

  • after the promoters found him. He learned boxing in Canada. Montreal rules!

  • he was Born in Italy how do you explain his name Arturo Gatti

  • immigration? (born April 15, 1972) is an Italian-Canadian former professional boxer. Gatti was born in Italy to Italian parents, but his family moved to Canada when he was young and he was raised in Montreal (borough of Montreal-Nord). He has lived in Jersey City, New Jersey since 1991--99.Arturo Gatti was a member of the Canadian National Team, and was training to represent Canada at the 1992 Summer Olympics, but at age 19 (in 1991), he decided to turn pro instead.

  • i think if gatti fought more then one tune up fight at 147 he would have done way better at dat weight

  • one of the greatest

  • wat a warrior

  • i have much respect for this guy
