I'm pissed that fruit costs that much! And then the news goes on about how everyone is getting fat! Well HELL a lot of families can only afford cheap nasty shit.
I watched you for the first time in #1 & #2 ( truth about my body ) and I fell in love with your spirit! You really touched me. I am obese and yet can still relate to so much you said about your eating disorder. You really inspired me to be honest at least with my own self. I send your my thoughts and tons of positive energy :) I am going to keep watching you grow stronger and stronger! You are strong and you are a fighter - a fighter for life :)
OMG the first scarf i knitted was for my mom! and i kept all the bumps and holes in it as well, b/c i knew she'd luv it knowing it was my first knitting project, i gave it to her last christmas :) fyi - i learned how to knit when i was in an ED program last year, it is very therapeutic...
thank you, unfortantly i wish it was that easy... i am embarressed to say that some loops aren't even loops as i messed up big time and then tried to just wrap it around and make fake loops LOLOLLOLOOLLOL it's so jacked up at this point but i just keep going!
After i watched this vid i simply had to buy dragon fruit... i watched this a few days ago and i just picked up two... 10 dollars??? i paid about £1.29 - it stresses me out the expense :(
Johnny, I can NOT believe the fact EMDR was not already tried for you.
I owe you an apology.
EMDR. Wow... how it changed my life. There is NOTHING supernatural or a "quick-fix" about EMDR. It's actually pretty stupid in the sense that the simplicity is right there. NO ONE could talk me into EMDR becaue... SOME who have not gone thru the process are totally clueless. what ashame... anyway, if you want to ask a former EMDR gal - ANYTHING. you know how to reach me.
Jill, darling, it was not tried due to money issues. I would of tried it before but I did not have the money and my Mom was not aware of how impactful it can be... then she researched it and we worked something out. I actually took the responsibility and maturity to set all of this up, Mom didn't wipe my ass this time. We are both very proud of me! I expect it to be a course of healing for me, there are never quick fixes. Healing is ongoing! My first appointment is Monday/tomorrow!
You have such great insight. I think it is so awesome that you are sharing what you are going through with all of us here. And I think that is so sweet of you to knit a scarf for your mom booboos and all.
I'm wanting to get a toy poodle, I've heard they were really sweet. I want to dye it pink!
&knitting really does help. But for some reason it makes me really nauseous if I watch what I'm doing for too long. It's really weird. =/
I'm in a knitting club at my school, and we're planning on making things for homeless people. I feel really bad when I see them, and I'm glad I will be doing a little something to help.
Omg, that dragonfruit made my mouth water! I couldn't stop staring at it throughout this whole video! Hehe. I'm going to have to go to the store and buy some. YUM!!!!
this is my fav of all your videos!!! your strong spirit (and absolute cuteness!!! helloooooo!!!) but the colors ohmydog you are such an artist the needles yarn dragonfruit the pillow, your plaid shorts a gorgeous composition if you ever come over to berkeley i'll take you to the berkeley bowl yesterday ripe dragonfruit on the bargain shelf, $.59 holy crap anyway can i pay you to knit a little sweater for my chiwowwow?
aw you are so sweet. omg that is dirt cheap, rainbow is selling them for 10 bucks a lb with 1 being 1 lb = 10 bucks a fruit!!! organic, that must be why... thank you for the comment below too, i am going to see how it goes and be very aware of what is healthy and stable for me along the way... set my boundaries and stick to it but be very open for change in the process. hugs
PS I totally tried commenting on your dog vids the other day but YT was under care and kept saying comments were disabled on the vids I watched of your. You've got some WELL trained pups!!! My Dante is RAW too. Do you buy prepared raw or make it yourself?
i saw dante in one of your vids. what a sweetiepie.
you prob know this, but as are there a million ways people do raw, same in the raw dog/cat world. i first bought Primal raw frozen nuggets from whole foods, and then went to the prey model. let me know if you want specifics. they also get a portion of my fruit and veggies.
i'd love to share dragonfruit, but i rarely (parade, yay!!!) go to sf. let me ponder it....xo
Dante has been raw for awhile now. I balance all his meals out myself. He was on Primal but prefers it fresh so I buy everything myself and make it. He eats like a KING! Raw meat, spirulina, cod liver oil, fresh fruit and veggies, pulp from the juicer, coconut meat, seaweed... each meal is different for balance. He's in great health!
ohmydog what lucky pups we have to be living with ocd purists! hehe. really, dante's diet sounds great.kudos to you for all the labor involved.
the prey model is a vegetarians worst nightmare but i really honor it as being close to how dogs would eat if they were in the wild....at the risk of being all controlling and all self righteous over yet someone elses food!! so just for ed healing purposes, neither bella or i are 100% raw. we have "treats" w/in reason.
You deserve it too my dear. I have issues with the same and make exceptions for the occasional treat. Do you ever drive or bart to sf? If so, I'd love to get together and split one at a park bfore the weather goes downhill! I drive into SF every Thursday afternoon...
My daughter and I took a knitting class at Michael's craft store. We've made a lot of scarves....the yarns out these days are soooo pretty and it's a nice thing to do for others. Try the really thick needles, too. The knit is looser and looks kewl.
I knit scarves, mostly. I find that the simple action of knitting is so much more important than the actual product. I also made a rug for my kitchen and I'm building up the courage to crochet a poncho.
wow, awesome! a ponco would be sooo awesome. for this week's party i will host a classic carrot/beet/celery/green apple/ginger... watermelon and mint... and tangerine, lime and fresh coconut water - grab a glass and take your pick! or try all three!
The most expensive and beautiful Persian rugs have tons of mistakes in them if you look closely. But that's the beauty in them. It shows that they were hand-crafted by people and not run through a machine to come out perfect. :) Take care!
hi little miss saloon girl! this is a beautiful comment with a great message, thank you. persian rugs are amazing and now you have encouraged me to take a close up look. i find honesty in the mistakes to be remarkable, especially for how much those things sell for. talk about flaunting what one may consider to be flaws!
Hi there! That's great to hear you've decided to try EMDR - I can tell you're doing everything in your power to beat the eating disorders. From what I've heard EMDR can be quite tough, but can also be very effective. I'll pray that it works for you. ps. that dragon fruit looked delish!:)
Thank you! YES, omg it is INTENSE but I know in my heart right now that I will not recover the way I want to unless I dig even deeper... and will have 2 therapist to assist me in the process and if it gets too intense, we slow down or stop and return when safe to do so. I believe in healing the brain before expecting any dramatic changes in reducing behaviors and being mentally okay with healing the body and right now I REALLY want to moveonward with my recovery and get on with life.
aw thank you! i took it upstairs after that horrid movie and watched a jail one with my Mom... she said the same thing but included that i looked like a lil old lady knitting, love it. granny fights back.
lol @ the end!!!!!!!! I LOVE this video!!!! I love you Johnny dear! I love your pillows! I can't wait to hear about how your EDMR treatments go, and I can't wait to see your finished scarf!!
I would love to learn that one too! and sewing and quiltmaking! Ahhh, thank heaven for us crafty ones! I want to make cute animals hats with matching scarves and mittens! leg warmers! arm warmers! sweaters with hella cute mixed buttons! big blankets and quilts lol don't get me started. What creations have you crocheted?
scarves are a favorite of mine. I've gotten to the point now where I've figured out how to switch colours and make stripes. OK, so I am not very advanced, but I LOVE it anyway. *laughs*. I've also been known to make soap cozies, afghans, and little pouches for just about everything in the house! lol. :-)
Did the edmr help? It helped me with my PTSD sooo much :). Hope it helped

im pissed my ed / ocd of locavorism
prevented my buying those dragonfruit yesterday
they always put ripe tropical fruit on the bargain shelf
practically free
i think im gonna bend my "rule" from now on
and buy non local food from that shelf
it prob gets trashed if its not bought after all.
healing happens. little by little.
and sometimes in big swoops. ; )
