Actually the notes passed referred to the girl, Carol, wanting to see if her boyfriend, Mike, could borrow a car from one of his friends and go look for her missing father out on a road he should have taken to get back home with a gift he bought his daughter, Carol, for her birthday.
The amazing thing is that even before she opened that note to read it...I was already thinking what was written on it from the moment that I saw her sitting there. But when she wrote back to him I was sure that she would say..."Well, I like my under-pants black; like my men!" Then I realized that this clip was from the 1950's; before white women all went absolutely hip-hop ape-shit in this country! Ahhhh...the good ol' days. When a little discrimination wasn't such a bad thing after all? lol
@ChromeTone1 I was born in 1952, and grew up on the south side of Chicago. Yes, there was some segregation back then, but you might be surprised how integrated some schools were. Chicago's Morgan Park high school has a history going back to the 1920's as a multi-racial school where everyone got along well.

All teenagers in the 50's were in their 30's. You were born 10, finished elementary school in your 20's and highschool in your 30's. Then you got married and had a ten year old baby. Then you got put in an old folks home in your 40's and died in your 50's. Strange times.
