  • most artist dont care about the war but that's why docjazz is my idol

  • The idiocy of war is sad. I don't get why our nations leaders cant talk it out or compromise. =(

  • This was one of the first songs I learned to play on Piano. It'll be one of the first for Ocarina too.

  • the 21 people tht dislike this, must have no idea what thes people go through, and how big they are for our freedoms

  • To all our men and women serving America, thank you.

  • Funny how we don't seem to appreciate them enough. They go into battle knowing they will probably never get a thanks and yet they still fight.

  • My dad used to sing this to me when I was younger. He's in the National Guard, and I've only seen him go over once. I appreciate the video. :)

Let this video not only honor the soldiers, but the families that deal with losses as well.

  • i really like this song and video. but for some reason i can only see this song for the airborne because of "blood upon the risers"

  • America is the Nation Responsible for two tragic and current wars. However it is the same Nation that feeds other poorer nations with our abundance of food. When Countries like Haiti have been struck down by a powerful disaster who comes to save the day? I am proud to be an American. Even more proud of our troops!

  • @chuckman22 Which wars? can u tell me? u said current...what is current in your eyes?

  • This... is... so... Calming.

    God bless america

  • I know you where adding syncopation, but really, this is exesive. Thats a dishoner to our country like when people totally sing the Star Spangled Banner awefully.

  • Thank you.

  • the war in Iraq is pointless and stupid! Stupid George w. Bush! Many mothers, fathers, grandfathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, maybe even grandmothers are giving up their lives knowing they might not return! They want to protect their families and friends but the war in Iraq is stupid! Just because George W. Bush wants to go find some imaginary huge weapon? SCREW YOU BUSH!

  • i don´t think we have this kind of day in sweden but i think it´s a very god tribute day to ppl that hav died to protect there nation.

  • Gory, gory, what a helluva way to die....

  • Very cool man....

  • To tell the truth there is no such thing as peace and there never will be. We are ALL raised from a violent ancestry and will always cling to that. But the truth and matter is the people in our military CHOSE to join it even though they KNEW a war could start. Half My family are veterans and one day i hope to join then but they all knew the cost. My dad is mentally handicapped now but he is still proud he served. People who dont understand how we feel need to stand down.

  • Our Veterans are proud to have fought and even though they might be hated or are hated by the people who dont understand why they fought and why our future veterans fight. To Protect; The People, Their Way of Life and THE LAND THEY LOVE!!! NOW ALL YOU IDIOTS WHO HATE WAR LISTEN UP! WE CHOSE TO FIGHT!!! WE CHOSE TO PROTECT! THIS IS OUR LIFE! THIS! IS! AMERICA!! THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE BRAVE!!! U.S.A.!!!!

    GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!

    Thank you for reading...

  • Thank you, That was touching. :)

  • "It is one thing to die for your country, it is another to live for it. It is not your damn duty to die for your country, your duty is to make the other poor dumb bastard die for his."

  • God Bless America!

  • here's hoping that God gives our troops the strength and knowledge to end this war quickly

  • Nice music. BTW, 00:56 and 01:10 are Israely soldiers from the IDF. You can tell by the rank badges of you're not familier with the Israly look.

  • i think that it is great to remember our troops that fight for us to keep our land and everyone safe. thank you men and women in the army

  • to tell you the truth i almost cried after this.and i rarely cry. but just thinking about the men and women who fight and die for their friends, family, and country just kinda gets to ya. let's just all pray for them to return safely

  • The humanity can't live without war... Ppls need it... without war World won't be the same as now...

This is the cycle of life...

    Very nice Video... *thump up...*

    Even if I am german^^

  • *Wipes away tear* :) Beautiful, you have done it again docjazz.

  • what kind of people vote this video down it is a awesome video GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • To those ppl with the whole ''why cant we just be friends and have no war?'' stuff...its cuz EVERYONE wants peace...they just want a peace that benefits them...

  • even though I have nothing to do with this country..... it makes me feel them and im about to cry!

  • no one likes war so why dont they just stop? or have something a little less bloody like a one on one fight between countrys

  • I wish there was no more war. War just brings sorrow, and grief. Why fight, when you could just get the leaders of a country and debate?! Nice song Dave.

  • @TheGamerboy860 They do then when they dont agree They go to war that's normal how war starts by debating and if we stop war then their would be no point in having military So they would all get fired

  • @opp861 Surely they could find some other job id they end war. It would cause more world peace, and more relaxation. Plus, we wouldn't have to lose our family members for a war that isn't even ours! W should just resolve things in a peaceful manner.

  • @TheGamerboy860 It is our War Almost every war is our war Their will never be peace as long as their is Man that is just the way it is War brings peace as well just in a different way not all the time can things be solved with out war but it should be tried to be used when we have too

  • @opp861 No, it is not out war, it's the government's war. Look, I deeply respect the troops that go out to fight for us. Don't get me wrong. And I really don't agree with "if there is man, there is war" thing. Man is capable of thinking outside of the box. It's not like we can't think of something else. Is it that much to spill a man's blood for a war that we didn't start?! War does NOT bring peace. It brings sorrow to our loved ones. Did Jesus solve everything with bloodshed? NO!

  • @TheGamerboy860 Then what does make peace They Blow up something and we talk it out with them We have enemies that dont want to talk they want to kill us its not like if we just say no we dont want to go to war then they wont attack us we tried that in World war and they still kept attacking our ships until we went to war and guess what the world war ends and then theirs peace so yes war brings peace

  • @opp861 Defending is one thing. Attacking is another. We don't attack unless they bomb us. But if we attack without anything happening, it's dead wrong. And war does not bring peace. What if their was war everyday? In our homeland? War, war, war. What if every argument let to missile, projectile, firearm, war. We would NEVER, that's right, NEVER have peace. Just imagine if war was outside our houses everyday. There would be absolutely no peace.

  • @TheGamerboy860 Theirs no such thing as never ending war their are long wars yes but eventually one side would lose. And we dont attack unless they bomb us? so some ppl from over hear have to die before we can even go to war? We go most of this land from war so you are saying that is wrong its wrong for the country to survive anyway it has too?? their is no right or wrong in war Their is winning and losing

  • @opp861 If you look up the truth of how the WAR IN IRAQ started, maybe you would understand. Yes there is a right and wrong in war. Killing is wrong, contention is wrong, SPILLING BLOOD is wrong. And no, the war didn't start by them coming from hell and bombing us like they don't have emotions.

  • @TheGamerboy860 Killing is wrong in war?? so what give out free hugs?? look Nothing i say will really make a change its just you are just someone who thinks being peaceful all the time will make things all right While you dont know how much blood had to be split to Maintain the peace you have Sometimes you have to do what has to be done to survive ill kill thousands of ppl no matter who they are if it means My ppl and genes can live on.

  • @opp861 I never said killing is wrong in war, I said killing was bad ALTOGETHER. If your on the battlefield, your forced to kill. I just think war is a barbaric way to solve things. If I disagree with one of my friends from china, we gather our friends and kill each other?? Is that how low the earth is stooping down to!? Killing thousands of lives? What if all of your family was fighting a huge, idle war, and thay all got wiped out, how the hell would you feel?? Even the Bible proves this!

  • @TheGamerboy860 In the Bible when David fights Goliath which was in a WAR God favored him to KILL Goliath if the bible is so against war why are their lots of time in where god helps someone win a war?We got most of the USA due to killing and war if ppl like you lead things we would still be under great Britain talking things out. You must be really sheltered to think out here in world every thing can be talked out.

  • @opp861 when does it say the Bible is against war? God used war to bring about His purposes several times.

  • @playsanocarina i didn't say the Bible was against war that was TheGamerboy860

  • @opp861 Here's the scoop. David was to kill Goliath because the Israelites were being used, and slaved. They were God's chosen people, and so that's why David had to kill him. This isn't God's war, and we are not God's CHOSEN people. Unless it isn't God's war, It shouldn't be happening.

  • @TheGamerboy860 So you are saying we should wait for GOD to tell us when to go to war??

  • @opp861 NO! God wouldn't tell us when to go to war! There is no war that God needs us to fight! We aren't his chosen people, and his covenant is not in danger. A simple disagreement is not God's war, and should not be worth fighting. If they want to go and fight, why don't they grab the two leaders, and we watch THEM fight. I'm not saying I don't respect the U.S. troops, I think they shouldn't be in Iraq fighting a war that could be solved in a Non-Barbaric manner. Killing is not the way.

  • @TheGamerboy860 So its ok for just one person to fight and die and let that decide who wins??and who are his CHOSEN ppl you speak of ?? letting them blow up something and not do anything but talk with them is Barbaric you are calling the war they are fighting barbaric but yet you say you respect them just not what they do yeah that makes sense

  • @opp861 That was a joke...the chosen people, I cannot say who they are, or else I might get yelled at. Barbaric is blood thirsty. Barbaric is war friendly. And also, Mr. War, I respect them because they are willing to fight for us. I don't respect why they are fighting. Talking it out is better. Where do you think our taxes go?! To the Government. What do they do with it? Buy guns for the war.

That's stupid, considering the war is idle! POINTLESS! BRING OUR TROOPS HOME, AND END WAR!!!

  • @TheGamerboy860 then why are you not calling other armed forces Barbaric as the Terrorist that killed Thousands During 9/11 yet we are barbaric for trying to Stop their terrorism which would cause more peace. What you offer is to talk a deal out with terrorist. you seem to love these CHOSEN ppl and their safety more then of that of your own country and even more so you wont even say who they are?you respect them because they fight for us you just hate when they FIGHT?Ok

  • @opp861 HA! Are you kidding me? The terrorists are crazy, they are barbaric also! I'm saying that killing each other is not the way to solve things! And look, It's not like they sent the terrorists to us, it's not their fault, so why do we fight them? We could just sue them, or something. Look, the chosen people are the people in the Bible. The Israelites. Do you know where Israel is? IN THE MIDDLE EAST. So war is breaking out nearIsrael, and that's the chosen place! War solves Nothing.

  • @TheGamerboy860 We are not even at War with Iraq's Government in a sense we are more so fighting their Terrorist groups they have we give their ppl food and supply And what do you mean we could just sue them?!!!??! it does not even work that we cant sue terrorist what would even come from that?Israel is allied with USA and who cares if the fighting is next to them why dont they summon GOD if it bothers them so much

  • @opp861 -_- No one can summon God! God isn't a pokemon! By chosen people, I mean the decendants of the tribe of Israel. And this war didn't helping that county. Look, I know you are taking this to another level. I'm just trying to say that war should come to an end, and let peace be upon this Government! Is that so wrong?

  • @TheGamerboy860 I am not saying the war should go on forever it should come to an end but at a proper way ending it too soon will just make a short lived peace.

  • @opp861 No offense guys I'm really enjoying the debate, some interesting ideas, but would you mind taking it to the pms or somewhere other than a tribute to American heroes.

  • @opp861 Actually we got most of the USA with the Louisiana Purchase, this is frickin' 5th grade knowledge.

  • @TheRealNumeroid Texas and Arizona and the 13 colonies the start of America was gotten from WAR and the Louisiana Purchase was paid to Napoleon Who used to to fuel his WAR so even that caused more blood even if WE didn't have to go to war we helped him do so

  • @opp861 I'm saying we didn't fight a war to get most of the USA, we bought it.

  • @opp861 And besides, it;s his money he can do what he wants to with it.

  • The Battle Hym of the Republic!

Many forget what the price of freedom is and forget that freedom isn't free.

These Men and women knew that and gave their lives defending a cause greater than themselves. By paying the ultimate sacrifice and spilling their blood we are able to live free from a tyranical ruler. We are free to live our lives and be all we can make ourselves because of their sacrifice.

    God Bless

  • @Charlizard777 I dont know i dont Recall a lot of or recent wars having the cost of if we lose Then we lose our Freedoms

  • Thank You.

  • way to go, the men and wemon of the army really are brave, strong, and aware of what they face when they go out there... and @arawanach thats honorable to me

  • Righteous docjazz4.

  • God Bless America!

  • I don't agree with the reason we are in the middle east, but I still support those that are willing to go. I know I could never ever be in the military and I think that they are amazing people for being able to do so. I hope that maybe one day we can not fight, but until that day, I pray that these men and women come home safe and sound and those that don't rest peacefully and know that they will be missed.

  • They say that in the moment they are trying to protect the guy next to them, and I won't for a second presume to know what that's like. But whether you agree or not, the fact that people serve in the military means that you don't have to. People don't realize that a very short while ago, you didn't really have that option. Have your opinions, you have the right to express them, but show a modicum of respect for those who serve even if you disagree with them or your government...

  • Were you in any of the pictures

  • i have a cuzin whos in the army and this means alot to me and every1 who has a friend or family memerb out there thanks alot man

  • thanks docjazz it brings back some memory's about my past make me think how lucky i am to be here setting at home doing more studying for school and that i was one of the few to survive a shoot to the back thanks for posting once again.

  • Where did you find this song?

  • @KingDeadly626 I recorded it myself :)

  • Wow. Something about the solemn respect of this video reminds me strongly of M*A*S*H -- in its more serious moments, of course.

  • Beautiful dedication. =) Your tribute to the veterans is admirable.

  • I don't know, but I don't think it's honerable... I would never take any part in a war. I could never have killed anyone. Not even if it would save my life.

  • @Arawanach I think that's the point...they're not doing it to save themselves. They're doing it to protect their family, friends, and fellow citizens back home from any threats to our safety and freedom. To me, that's honorable.

  • @docjazz4 Really.. protecting is not directly what soldiers are doing in the Middle east for example, everybody knows that the Americans are there for the oil, and the UN are just idiots who gets into it, just let people fight for themselfs, they're not doing any good there at all.

And a person doesn't join the army to protect their family etc, probably 1 out of 20 does that, but the rest thinks that it's cool/fun to play with guns and they dont really understand what the just singed in for.

  • @dadov

You are entitled to your opinion, and i wont' presume to know your background, but IMHO this is not the place to stand on your soap box and make poor assumptions about why people join the army (unless you have a source to cite) and your opinions on foreign conflicts. here is a simple and kind video honoring those who gave their life so you won't have to... aren't you happy to live in a country that gives you the freedom to be such a prick?

  • @FLPman Man im not saying anything against the people, well, i was, but sure, they're doing something they think is for the greater good, right?

But really, most war is unnecessary since conflicts can be solved using our mouths, we're not primitive animals who has to fight over stuff, even if that's what our instincts tells us.

What im trying to say is that the fact that in many cases hate against otehr countries is just old prejudgments which should be deleted forever.

    Love and repsect not war

  • Fact is they join & b/c of that you don’t have to. You say most war is unnecessary, but that's just not the world we live in. If every soldier decided what to do we'd have chaos. We'd have an ineffective military. In an ideal world we wouldn't need one, but in this world we do... and this is from someone who agrees with your fundamentals! Just don't assume to know a soldier's life, or stereotype any as trigger happy. Adds to the conflicts you complain about on top of being hugely disrespectful

  • @FLPman well.. you've seen the video from wikileaks with the helicopter guys who shoot like 5 photographers and laughed when their bodies got driven over by a tank?

Well and there was a guy from the army (US) who wrote in a video (youtube video) about the kick he gets when he kills a "terrorist" which is basicly any taliban/colored person (in his oppinion) And this might have made a bad American army guy stereotype in my brain, but i still find that there's to many assholes who're soldiers.

  • @dadov. I won't go tit for tat, for every horror story you can tell about a US solider, I have five regarding Al Queda, Taliban, and other insurgent actions. So let's not go there... but are you really going to defend being stereotypical by citing a hand ful of soliders your read about or saw on wikileaks? Obviously when I talk about the military I'm not talking about the few who disgrace it or the government that directs it..you're off topic to prove a point

  • @dadov

That would be wonderful in an ideal world. We're not in an ideal world. Many adults act like children, and children throw temper tantrums before they listen to you. Now, when a child throws a temper tantrum the best thing to do is let them scream until they're tired or realize it won't give them what they want, right?........what if the child has guns?

  • @docjazz4

but what are they fighting for? freedom? i can understand fihting for freedom, but fighting for peace is rather pointless

  • @docjazz4 no! they are the tools of the gouverment. Nothing more. They think they do the right thing, but it is all lies.

  • @docjazz4 That was well said. They're not doing it just because it's a war and that they have to, they're doing it to protect their family, home, and the principles that our country is based off of.

  • @docjazz4 Amen

  • Let me know how you feel after somebody has actually tried to kill you.

  • @jim56o45 its not that bad acualy

  • @jim56o45

Well, hard to tell you if they actually succed. If someone really tries to kill me, I would guess that it wouldn't be that hard.

It would be sad for my wife and my son, but it wouldn't do me anything better if I would kill him/her. I could never live with having killed someone, so my life would more or less be over in either way.

  • @Arawanach I'd have no problem killing any of those animals that we are fighting right now. A normal person who hasn't done me any wrong may be difficult to kill, but those beasts killed some of my friends and I won't let that go and I shouldn't let it go.

  • @Arawanach I'd have no problem killing any of those animals that we are fighting right now. A normal person who hasn't done me any wrong may be difficult to kill, but those beasts killed some of my friends and I won't let that go and I shouldn't let it go.

  • @Arawanach You don't think that dying for the country is honorable?

not for God? The Country? or the Christian heritage that this country was found upon?

fighting without a proper cause may not be honorable, but to defend the American society, for God, and for the people, that is honor.

  • @OcarinaGuy206

no, I don't think so. Dying trying to take as many others with you in your fall is not honorable to me. I just don't think anyone can win on a war. There's no honor. No real victory. In a war, I think everyone lose.

I could die saving someone I loved, but getting killed to strike against enemy forces who also have the same toughts. I think both side in a war actually think they are doing something good for their country. Why should I do something that's against my nature?

  • @Arawanach listen you say that where you are relatively safe but when someone puts a gun to your face or the face of your family you will change that position in a heart beat and the men and women of our armed forces are keeping you from having to be in that position and for that sacrafice i do honor them and thank them

  • @Arawanach I don't think anyone is saying killing is honorable. Nobody I know looks at war and applauds it like it's something we should look forward to. In war, everyone loses. It's the idea that these people have been willing to put their lives in danger to preserve a way of living that is so noble and honorable. That's what we celebrate and honor, not the fact that they are killing others or being killed. That's not something to celebrate, that's something to lament.

  • No more American lives, for Israel's WARS.

    Bring the troops home.

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE We are a police state, deal with it, we are here to assist other people not focus on ourselves, if you don't like that we fight against oppressive regimes go ahead and move to some liberal nothing state like the UK.

  • dude, amazing!!

  • Why on Earth would this get thumbs down?

  • @noahmart The same reason any pro military video is, retarded liberals.

  • Dang u r good!! I actually cried abit

  • Wow who thumbed this down.....

  • We thank you, the US military, for protecting all the goodness, justice, hope, love, and citizens of America. *salutes while a single tear rolls down cheek*

  • This is beautiful. It touched me, so thank you for posting this video for everyone to see...and to allow everyone to give just a few moments of their day to pay their respects.

  • wow... atm 15 people don't like this... what is the matter with them?

  • can i have tabs for this sng i've been meaning to play this song 4 while

  • beautiful video very powerful song My support goes to all the soldiers world wide may you return home to your friends and family.

  • Man I love your music.

  • This reminds me of why this is my least favorite holiday rest in peace cousin.

  • your awesome :) good memorial day tribute

  • It's perverted how these days the Us armed forces are capitalized. And the rich men up at politics decide who is the enemy and who isn't while none of their bloodline is out there. They are too unattached to the war... No wait, they aren't THEY PROFIT FROM IT. Sorry for posting a political statement but it is like this.

  • God bless the whole world. And here's hoping one day we're putting more effort into housing and feeding everyone than finding new "threats" for the US AF.

  • @Nike8f7 since when did big gov't put more into housing or feeding everyone even if there wasn't a war? Your part of the mess too buddy, you just point fingers and have no solutions either! Grow up.

  • @spareaxe Who doesn't? You just did it when saying I am part of it. I have no answers but neither it seems do you. And if "growing up" means not caring what the "gov't" says and does then I have no intentions of doing it. The saddest part about the whole world? "Since when did big gov't put more into housing or feeding everyone even if there wasn't a war?" THAT, that is the tragedy that is called the damned human race.

  • my brother just left today for boot camp for the marines

  • @RECO9515

Not to sound like a know it all, but the correct term is "Basic Training"

    P.S..... MARINE CORPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.P.S. Let me know how your brother does in the crucible.

  • @Lardman678 haha thanks man. i know i messes up. hell be in parris island like tomaro. haha if i remember i will. ive seen videos on it and heard about it i hear its brutal. are you a marine?

  • *sniffle*sniffle* this is reall nice =,)

  • This is beautiful, and a great tribute, but all I can think of when I hear this piece of music is "Mister Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose"... Totally the wrong emotion! Prayers and love to all who've lost someone close to them :(

  • Who could dislike this??? Thank you for this sometimes i think we dont thank our servicemen and womwn enough.

  • @allaboutrandom For whatever reason, some people, especially non-americans, feel an equal sorrow for the people being killed by the americans and the countries being occupied by the americans.

  • @lutherdriggers but for the americans the amount of thanks being given to our armed services is a fraction of what it should be. thats all im saying.

  • Amazing. Definetly a keeper docjazz, and God Bless America

  • God bless our troops protecting our homes and families. Rest in Peace the soldiers that have fallen performing a service that has saved others. My grandfather who passed a few years ago was a WWII veteran. For the longest he told us that he was stationed in Manilla during the Korean War but we found his discharge papers, low and behold the info we found that day. Doc, you have done it again with your beautiful playing.

  • Excellent song Doc. This is a great tribute to the forces.

  • Very nice dude, my dad was in the military

  • Beautiful. Touching.

I love you for doing this

    <3

  • Sacrifice? An' for what?

  • @JanAlbrecht exactly....bring these men and women home!

  • It is the soldier who has stepped up and is willing for the sacrifice, but it is their family and friends who are indebted to pay this cost for the rest of their lives.

  • Patriotism isn't good.

  • Gory gory, what a hell of a way to die. :'(

  • I'm crying right now. :( They work so hard to keep us free and some of them lose their lives. They care about our country and our people so much... Thank you to all the veterans and those currently serving. Remembering you all on this day is the least we can do as thanks for keeping us safe.

  • Beautiful song but what about the afghani people? They lost people they loved and cared about aswell...

  • @Dyplex guess we're leaving that song up to the afghans

  • @Dyplex shouldnt they have their own army to defend their own country? Thats why Obama finally decided to back out because he finally was smart enough to take the US out of a war thats not ours.

  • Very nice way to use your talent to honor those who gave their lives and time for us.

  • when did this happen? and what happened :<

  • lovely we used to sing this for our parents when they returned home from service.

  • Nice!

  • i love this vid!

    i love the song!

i love you for doing this :D (not that way :s)

  • @crazynaruto87 God help America too

i love this country and God

  • Great job david. This is a great way to show respect and it reminds me of my cousins who both passed away in Afghanistan, so thank you so much
