For me, he can play better than Cliff and Jason.Still, imo, he doesn't fit in Metallica the way they did. The funny feeling I've been having over the years is that the only true master at what he does in Metallica is James Hetfield. Kirk is shitty guitarist, Lars is shitty drum player and annoying person, but James is Metallica. He could easily replace Kirk, Lars and Robert (if they weren't friends) and get more intensive, far better sound that they have ever had. But hey, that's just me.

Trujillo can't play bass worth a shit. My mother could do better. Most, if not all of his "bass playing," is bullshit hype and nonsense. He substitutes skilled bass playing with "bad ass" looking stances like wearing his bass low on his shoulder, goofy basketball outfits, spreading his legs out and low, sweat pouring out of a face that looks like he just got fucked up the ass by a hung horse.
