  • Can anyone PLEASE tell me what kind of filters to use on a camera if im trying to aim it at the sun?! plzzzzzzz help!

  • That stinks! I couldn't see the eclipse because the stupid moon got in the way! Oh well, better luck next time man.

  • feels like you're on another planet right before the eclipse... 0.0

  • what is the song of this video?gritaro..

  • Yngwie J. Malmsteen - "Eclipse" :-)

  • what is the song name in the video??

  • I know of one that will happen over Lincoln City Oregon. I'll be there! :D

  • I know of a solar eclipce that will happen over Lincoln City, Oregon in 2017

    I'm gonna go there!

  • Nice, I'm planning on seeing the same one somewhere on the east coast. Hopefully we both get good skies then. :)

  • i dont get it why is there two lights?

  • The moon goes infront of the sun

  • Big one is the sun. Smaller one is either Venus or Jupiter (I'm assuming Venus). During totality it's dark enough that planets and the brighter stars are visible. :)

  • the music makes it all epic lol

  • wow nice camera work... we're you even looking thru the camera?

  • Looking to the Sun through cheap camera without any filters? Of cause no.

  • it looked like an eye

  • wow the music came out of nowhere.

  • Best Eclipse video clip I have ever seen. I love the scene that includes the ground and the sun, which makes me feel "attendance".

  • Watch Total Lunar Eclipse 2006 .. I loved it. It was 10x better than this.

  • the music scared the crap out of me

  • mee too hahaha

  • a porra nem sabe filmar!!

  • it looks like a eye

  • Russians love cheesy metal.

  • the sun has been swallowed!! make noises!!

  • whats with the music?

  • scary?

  • would have been nice to see it, but the camera was everywhere but on the event

  • leave the music out next time : )

  • music killed the video...

  • stupid question here but does it drop in temperature at all during a total solar eclipse?

  • a eclipse happened on 01/08/2008= chapter 108 (al kauthor... my name too )of the quran was in relation to the death of Muhammad`s son - on a day of an eclipse, the bad people were taunting him that no one will remember him after he dies, ( well they were wrong). in relation to to this eclipse its a coincidence that the chapter is numbered 108,(01/08/08 eclipse date), my b day i also 01/08/81 so jus coincidences hey?

  • yes, its just coincidence

  • Yes, its just a coincidence. Its self fulfilling prophecy. You dont take into account the thousand or so other solar eclipses that didnt happen on that date since the quran was written.

Stop trying to find magic when there isnt any.

  • Amazing!

  • eventually, at 1:16, the camera aim stops dying. that eclipse was hella kewl, though.

i remember once, i saw one in the fourth grade during a REALLY bad rainstorm. i used to sit in the corner by the window, and when i looked p, it was all dark, dark red outside. it was a bit scary. i live in lake charles, louisiana, in the united states. i'mm 22 now, so i had to have been around 10 back then.

  • I just wish the camera would have been kept still in the beginning

  • yea seriously

  • I clearly remember seeing one in New Jersey in 95 when I was in High school. It was amazing!

  • my mom is from Russia, she says she has seen about 10 in her life

  • haha i wish i stayed up to see it! i forgot to lol :[ im in america tho....but thats cool [:

  • what time of the day was it there (no military time!)

  • 4.49 pm

  • i'm pretty sure that's not how it happens.

  • wow that is freaking amazing!!!

  • 12:56

  • WOW we are learning about this in science class and i finally get it!

  • what time was that

  • 1.08.2008 16:49 (NOVST)

  • Gritaro, thanks for posting this! So cool!

  • fake

  • how is it fake iv seen 1 and it looks like it

  • has anyone noticed a star next to the sun on 0:50. that could be nibiru (planet x)

  • Wish you were right... But it's just Mercury or Venus =)

  • yes, interesting enoug, no astronomer, guys who observe the sky their entire life and study their entire lifes, noticed Nibiru...

  • OMG. you must be joking. LOL Nibiru. Sorry, friend, that's Mercury with an apparent magnitude of -1.75. Further left of that would be Venus at -3.9. This is Aug 1, 2008 and pretty far north. Ain't Nibiru, and it ain't Jesus. Those kind of things aren't real. Get out of the dark ages and read REAL books or you might drive yourself (or the rest of us) crazy ;P

  • Its not Ive zoomed in on it with my highpower telescope and its Jupiter

  • nice video

  • i love russia

  • nice video

  • From the look of it, this was an Annular Solar Eclipse, not a total...

  • no offense but whoever is holding the camera needs to learn how to balance it better

  • does anyone one know when the next solar eclipse viewable in new england willll be?

  • just looked 2017

  • y isnt this a total solar eclipse when the moon is aready at the centre of the sun?

  • what happen? y it from day turn nite and turn back day

  • We never have this in Canada which is considered rare, especially in Toronto.

  • I must say I'd love to see a solar eclipse for real but not in my part of the world. Some rumors also go around I don't believe it but it also sounds weird it is that a solar eclipse's light can make you do things you couldn't before but I don't think so it sounds science - fictiony

  • you can see throught the lcd screen of a camera so you can film it

  • are those 2 eclipses? Or is one just a reflection off the, uhm.... tree.

  • tobirama the current population of russia is 142,008,838...During the soviet era however the population was almost 300 million year 1991

  • the population of the soviet union was almost 300 million, not the population of russia.

  • seriously I want to visit Russia!! they always get to see the eclipses

  • grrrrr... I want to visit Japan! just because i love this country!

  • lol, I'm in Japan as a foreigner :) but I heard Russia stretches through 11 time zones. I don't know if the population is big, but a long time ago during Queen Catherine the Great, I heard there were only about 19,000 - 20,000 people.

Doesn't Russia have a lot of space for people to build homes and what so ever?

  • I love night :)

  • Good eclipse, disatrous filming...

  • lol yeah wut he said

  • Really really dissapointing... what's wronf with you guys...are you having a fit or something.... and who in God's name was handling the camera????

  • yeah...the camera's VERY shaky

  • Sorry, but hold the camera right.

  • needs editing, not very good of the eclipse either

  • Absolutely amazing!!

  • Круто!

  • Awesome...!!! Great Video...

  • You are are so lucky!!

    That was amazing!
