  • The OB stripped your membranes at 35 weeks?! Criminal!

  • @1robinsong omg i know! considering full term goes to 42 weeks, the baby could have been 7 WEEKS EARLY! crazy

  • Thank you for sharing this. Your video is an inspiration. I am reading on how to have an all natural no hospital birth. I'm not pregnant yet, but am finding that knowledge is power and will help me when the time is right. Peace and Light.

  • My goodness. This made me tear up! I want that so bad but I'm afraid of having a VBAC. I'm 6 weeks so I really need to figure it out =[

  • Thanks so much, I'm switching to a homebirth midwife soon. Hopefully I will successful like you were.

  • Your story really inspired me to try for a VBAC next time.

  • Beautiful video! I hope to have a VBAC when we begin TTC next year. My son was unplanned c section and devastating experience. Thanks for sharing!

  • This is so inspiring. I am trying to get a VBAC but am having a lot of trouble from family and doctors about it.

  • Awesome! I also VBAC'd twice after a planned C-section with our first because I had a brain tumor and they didn't want me to push (risk of brain stem hernia). But after the c-section, the tumor was removed, and then I had two VBACs with our second and third child. Great video!!

  • Excellent Video! This is our hope too...1st one was a c-section after he was breech....now 24 weeks pregnant and planning a homebirth!

    Thanks for your story!

  • That was very inspiring...I am planning to be pregnant again this mid year, and am planning to have a VBAC...what i want to know, how old is your #1 while u were pregnant on Doula?...FYI, My no#1 (RAMA) is now 20months, that is one of the reason I'm planning the 2nd pregnant to be this mid year, so, he'll be 24 mths by then...just to make sure that it is safe to have a VBAC...

  • Wonderful !

I share simular experiences and I can honestly say that a home VBAC is the best feeling EVER !

Congradulations - I am very happy you too have achieved your goal in VBAC ;-)

  • I'm almost criying... I hope this foy my second !!! :-)

  • The Doula "piggy bank" almost made me cry, this was so touching!

  • Thank you so much. This gives me hope.

  • Yknow, that's the xxxxth video i am watching about birth.

There is one big difference i see between "safe, doctor guided" and natural births.

In the first case everyone looks tortured, tired, sad and only smiling or crying b'cause they're glad, it is over!

But in the second case... everyone is beaming, even in the hardest moments!

Well. You know, wich way will i choose. :)

  • Sorry - I don't know the song.

    :-)

  • This was great!!!! We had a HBAC 6 months ago, it was amazing :) Does anyone know what song this is on this video??

  • This is a beautiful video. I hope that with #2 I can do this too. I don't know how my husbamd will feel about a home birth. I know he is scared of it. I just know it will be so much better for *me*. I was so depressed after my c-section I don't even want to remember because it makes me cry!

  • A huge congratulations to you, My son was born via c-section 10 and a half months ago and I would really like to try for another child within the next year but I am terrified of having another c-section. You've given me hope, Thank you.

  • I am in your exact spot. I know exactly how you feel. Good luck to you!

  • Thank you, and to you as well :)

  • CONGRATS MOMMA! I had my VBAC baby back in Oct in the hospital naturally and hope for a homebirth with our next child. Your journey is an inspiration!

  • Thank You. I'm 37 weeks and planning a HBAC. This is beautiful.

  • Thank you for posting this. I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant with my second. My first was breech and c-seciton. I am planning a natural VBAC at a hospital with an OBGYN :(... my odds are aginst me with an OB but was forced to switch to her at 28 weeks. Please pray I achieve the birth I so much desire. I'm due March 10 2009

  • How did everything go for you Mommy2kal. No matter what happened. I hope you had a happy healthy baby!

  • I went to 40 weeks 1 day and my water broke. Went to the hospital and labored for 10 hours and made it to 3 cm when they told me my cervix had slipped behind his head and they were going to pull it up and break any remaining water. I couldn't take it anymore and said NO you are NOT going to do that unless I have an epidural. So i got the epdural and HATED IT. They put me on a slow Pitocin drip and about 12 hours later my HUGE son 9lbs 5oz was born VBAC! Not what I planned but still Very Happy!

  • Congrats! I'm happy to hear you got your VBAC. Another birth story that can give hope for the rest of us. :o)

  • icyhott1 -- they're 2 years, 2 weeks apart

  • how far apart are your girls

  • Wow. This is a real encouragement! Thank you so much for posting this vid. I,too, am looking to have another baby soon, and I pray for a VBAC.(My 1st baby was born in March 2006) I have a lot of questions going on inside, like home birth or hospital, so watching this really is encouraging. Thank you.

  • Congratulations! I hope your story informs, inspires and encourages many other families.
