I'm currently majoring in ASL (30 years old, btw, not some kid) and your videos have provided an amazing amount of help. Please keep them coming, and some day, if I can also help others trying to learn, I will be there!
Thank you for the video, I wish this was around when I was taking ASL in college. It was a complete "submersion class" which was almost impossible for me. Can you do an emergency medicine video for paramedics/EMTs so we can use this in the streets. Thank you very much =)
I was in Sp.ed from first to 8th grade I taught myself sign, or either I picked it up from the deaf people, not sure the teachers noticed if i can pick up on something like that I must not be SP.ED I was taken out in 8th grade and I taught myself everything via youtube and books and I graduated just last year now I am in college.
i memorized all of these signs and when i showed them to my mom she was so proud of me she cried. thank you so much. im going to try my hardest to learn more. and you were my start. thanks :)
People never use words such like Is or Are? And is there any specific sign for people's names? I mean, my name's Florence, do I have a sign or something? Thank you, your videos are really helpful!
Thank you for these great videos, I plan on taking ASL in college and hoping to one day adopt a deaf child (: Their culture fascinates me! I will definitely be watching all of these and studying! (: Cant wait! Thank you!
I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.
I think I learned everything in this video within a couple of days, most immediately! This is wonderful and you have the perfect manner to make this easy to learn. Thankyou so much!!
That was really good. I'm trying to learn because I'm a paramedic and had a call where the patient was deaf. This will come in handy... especially the last bit.
wow i love you i have been trying to find something easy to learn as far as asl because i have a friend named sara and shes deaf and i feel bad that she has to read my lips in order to know what im saying so im learning for her
Are you fully fluent? Your videos are amazingly helpful, most are too complicated and go to fast, but you take things at the perfect speed, give god direction, show the screen and viewers the sign from different angles, and you say helpful things for me to remember.

@mowuzzheretoday12 No way!!! You made an account to comment on it? thanks! You are awesome! I am so glad you are learning sign language...stay tuned, i have a new video I am posting soon :)
Ok, so I've been on numerous other ASL video pages... This is still the most effective one I've seen (next to Signing Time which is geared towards children :). In the areas I mentioned, along with what @iloveasl1 said, plus the camera frame width/height, lighting, & numerous other details.
You are awesome! I learned and practice from your video every single day. I will have a test this evening for my ASL 101. I feel ready to take the test. You might not know how much you have help me. The teaching method is amazing, the smile, the soft speaking voice, etc everything is perfect. Hopefully when you have time, please add more... 4,5,6...
@Bayfree102 Although I see where you are coming from, the way I signed "white" is correct. The signs "white" and "like" do look very similar. The difference is, with "white", all your fingers meet together when you pull your hand away from your chest. For the word "like," only your thumb and middle fingers meet together after you pull your hand away. Hope this clears up your confusion! :)
Thank you so much for your instruction videos! I love how you use easy to remember references for some of the signs. I work with special needs student, some are non-verbal, and I am determined to learn sign to make communication easier. I used to know the basics when I was very young, but if you don't use it you lose it. I know you made these a few years ago, but if you find the time to make some more, I would love to learn more.
LOVE these videos! I have encountered a few deaf customers at my gas station and I felt horrible that I couldn't properly communicate with them, your videos have taught me a lot!
