  • C is my favourite. I just seem to keep watching that part - it conveys nothing but pure innocence - damn I miss that time in my life...

It also shouts vulnerability, yet security...

  • To Thr33K1ngs: Yes, the instruments used on the letter "S" are Renaissance double-reed wind instruments known as "krummhorns" and are similar in size to the recorder family, but often shaped like a letter "J" - they are made of wood and bend upwards at the end - sound is produced with a double-reed which is housed under an airtight "cap" through which air is blown, somewhat like a party horn, producing that "buzz" sound. They range in size from tiny sopranino to the large "great bass". :)

  • The Fairy Alphabet Song!

As a guy I do not cry too much but seeing this clip from 30 plus years ago really got to me too. I remember watching this on PBS 40+ years ago. Life was so much more innocent and fun back then for us. The decades of hangups and pain that we all have accumulated were not there back then - just simple childish wonderment.

This is what kids should be seeing today not the demonic garbage that I see on the Cartoon Network that is not even fit for insane people to watch.

  • 0:40 Egad - bare breasts and tush!

  • Beautiful!

  • I must have been 8 years old when I first saw this and it inspired me to be an artist and to LOVE this type of music. It does sound like late Renaisssance / early Baroque music. Magical and BEAUTIFUL!

  • Educational, and peaceful. A nice combination...

  • That was my favorite alphabet clip.

  • Me too, I love it!

  • Does anyone know who played the music for this song? I'd really love to know... :-)

  • yeah the music is wonderful, rather early Baroque-ish. Kids used to get an education arts appreciation... sigh...
